Carol Augustine

Carol, known as a 'cinnamon skinned beauty', made around a dozen appearances on page 3 before her tragic end. She also appeared in magazines and in TV ads.

Carol's second page 3 photo here dates from 1975 and is probably the most daring image ever featured by a tabloid newspaper, an example of naughtiness only equalled by that famous Kathy McKinnon pic.

'Improved version' of Carol's Oui cover ( credit to original poster) plus very small pic of her Manikin cigar ad. However, the picture is a bit too small for positive ID.

These two are probably from this forum, but I'm unsure of the location apart from the fact that it's a big magazine thread (Men Only? Mayfair?) - Carol Augustine wasn't identified in the text.

Anyway, thanks to the original poster - all I've done is slightly lower the file sizes.

Notice the cigar Carol has in the first pic, which must be a jokey reference to her TV ads.

A slightly different spelling for her magazine and film work. She was always 'Carol Augustine' on page 3. In 1975 I was far too young to really notice page 3, but I started to practise writing by copying out the names of some of the girls such as 'Erica Creer', 'Sarah Walkden and 'Carol Augustine'!

Thanks for reminding me about the glorious Carol, mike. I'm going to see if I can add to the thread if possible. Have to say though, that the photographer of the above shot musta been a right baaaastard to crop it like that. :-(
