Beginning vidcaps from The Bob Hope Christmas Special circa 1991 (?). Sorry about the quality...those shows were shot on video tape and the DVD transfer leaves something to be desired...

Wrapping up Loni Anderson's appearance on the Bob Hope Christmas Special, circa 1991...

I take requests! In addition to general pix and fakes I have thousands of vidcaps of Loni from: The Gambler V, Stroker Ace, White Hot: The Thelma Todd Story, A night At The Roxbury, The Jayne Mansfield Story, Whisper Kill, Loni's appearances on The Incredible Hulk, S.W.A.T., The Tonight Show, and other movies/ TV shows I can't recall right now (since WKRP In Cincinatti just came out on DVD I haven't had a chance to cap that yet). Eventually all or most of this stuff will get posted here, but if anyone wants to see something sooner rather than later, let me know by replying in this thread. Thanks!

Yes they certainly were. Loni and Lynda are still working today, although they're not nearly as visible as they once were...still, to be women over 50 still getting work in Hollywood is pretty damn good. Female stars--with a handful of exceptions--tend to "disappear" after they hit 40.

Which reminds me...did you ever see the short-lived 1980s TV series Partners In Crime that starred both Loni and Lynda? Ohmygod...talk about "filling up" the TV screen! I have some promo shots from that show that I'll post soon. Recently I bought the complete series (24 episodes or so, only 1 TV season) from some guy on e-Bay who burned them off his videotape copies from when the show was first on. Obviously the visual quality leaves much, much to be desired, but I'll still make vidcaps of them and post them here (or over at Lynda's thread or both) eventually.

The Doors are one of my all-time fave bands. They have a very significant personal resonance and meaning for me. Looks like we're friends backdoorman.

Here's Part I of the promo pix for Partners In Crime, the short-lived (1 season) series in which Loni and Lynda Carter played a pair of San Francisco private detectives. Aside from the obvious "mountain terrain", there wasn't a whole lot to like about this show...it was poorly written, poorly produced, and--sorry to say--poorly acted. Not that any of that matters when you have LONI ANDERSON AND LYNDA CARTER ON THE SAME F'N TV SHOW!!! Lovely Vanessa Williams increased the elevation when she guest-starred on the show...

These pix are mostly from the terrific Lynda carter site wonderland.com. If you like Lynda go check out that site--you won't be sorry.

backdoorman--Regarding your comments...the wedding shots were from Lynda's wedding, circa 1986-87, and I believe it was her 2nd marriage...to whom I don't know but he was no doubt a happy camper...have no idea how long that marriage lasted but I'm sure you could get that info off the web if you want.

Did you know that Jim Morrison sort of "predicted" his short life span? I've read interviews with Manzarek who said that even early on in the band's existence Jim said he saw himself as bright comet streaking across the sky then burning up in the atmosphere. It reminds me of that line from Blade Runner when Tyrel tells Roy (Rutger Hauer) that: "The candle that burns twice as brightly burns half as long".
