As I was just reminded this evening, I've always found something strangely erotic about the former actress, now director, Betty Thomas.

It's kind of hard to figure out. Even when she was young she wasn't really attractive by traditional definitions. But there was something about her eyes. I also like the fact that she took her clothes off so many times in the late 70s and early 80s. She seemed to know that her body was more funny than sexy, and had a good time with it, stripping down for three separate comedies.

She stopped acting in 1989, and since then has concentrated on a very successful directing career. I guess one might say that she's even "less fanciable" any more, as once she stopped being on-camera, she kind of let her self bulk up (and some say "butch up", as she has long been rumored to be a lesbian). Anyway, she's 63 now, so one can forgive her for not looking as good as she did back in the 80s. Still has nice eyes, though.

I've just posted her in the 'Women who owe it to mankind to get their boobs out' thread, but I suspect she might fit equally well, if not better, here- Channel 4 TV chef and food writer Gizzi Erskine.

I think she's very cute and I love her style, so for me, yes, she's undeniably fanciable....

.....but I know from reading various threads on here that a lot of VEF members really don't like tattoos on women, and Gizzi- who during her rebellious teenage years went through a punk phase, and spent a few years working in a body-piercing studio- has a number of tattoos, particularly the angel wings on her back...

So what do we think? I'm usually pretty open-minded within reason on the ink and piercings question- (I've got friends and an ex-GF who have either tattoos, piercings or both), though Gizzi's 'wings' are a bit much for my taste- but would it be a deal-breaker?

Well, I guess if she's on her back, then you can't see them

Now that Springwatch is back on TV, I thought cute n curly presenter Kate Humble deserved a mention. You have to wonder if her passion for animals is matched by her animal passion and, according to wiki, she also enjoys public nudity. That's one bird's box it would be worth putting a camera on!

The public- or at least outdoor- nudity thing came up in an interview 3 or 4 years back- 'One of life's great joys is dancing naked in the sun. It makes me feel so good.

She also apparently finds it amusing that anyone should find her sexy- 'For goodness sake, I look like a boy' Yes Kate, of course you do....

I put Kate forward as she's probably not considered textbook 'gorgeous' but then she's no dog either. I guess it's hard to qualify who you shouldn't really fancy and who you should, especially when you consider how mainstream glossy magasines continually pushed the hideous Katie Price and her clones (with their big fake tits, lips, personalities etc) on us as women we should be fancying. As you say it's totally subjective and I've also seen Kate Bush mentioned on this thread when personally I think she's a woman it should be absolutely compulsary to fancy
