![]() Of course the "Model I.D." section here is amazing, with so many great sharp eyed super sleuths in attendance. Just wondering if there are any search engines recommended as another option. I know the Google "Search by image" is pretty good. I'm wondering if there are better ones more focused on identifying vintage and/or contemporary adult stars and content.

![]() I'd second nhy5's suggestion of Yandex for reverse image searching.
![]() As regards adult image reverse searching I'd say Yandex is the best option. Google seems determined to take what was the very best reverse image search & deprecating it, with this insistence to redirect you to Google lens the latest in annoyances. ![]() Once a bit of a joke, Bing has massively improved over the last few years, with their reverse image search particularly becoming very good. Especially with facial recognition. I've even had it correctly identify multiple people in an image. However Bing is weak on adult reverse image searches, much better for identifying mainstream celebs but definitely an option that should be checked as it's identified people that the other two have not for me many times now. Hope this is of use! Last edited by PoloMintGuy; January 14th, 2023 at 07:23 PM.. Reason: Fixed typo |

![]() Also useful is TinEye.com.
pimeyes.com is also used in the ID-section with good results. The free version is restricted to three searches per day (which you can circumvent by changing your IP, for example with a VPN) and delivers slightly blurred images and incomplete source-urls. But it often leads to good results from different shoots/sets, which you can then feed into yandex to find the original source. The cheapest paid plan is pretty expensive (37.92 EUR/month for 25 searches per day).

Google is has been a close second for years, but has dipped in the last few years with their dumb decisions, especially recently by putting Google Lens involved with their image search. Tineye is decent, but you may or may not get what you want with it, although thankfully they dropped the image per day/week limits and the need to have to pay for it. |

![]() I downloaded an add-on from Firefox that allows me to reverse image search using 4 different search engines...
(Sorry about the crappy image) ![]() It's called "Search By Image", there is a small camera icon on my toolbar , I right click on an image, select " Search By Image" > " All Search Engines" and I can reverse image search all of them at once, I have selected Google, Bing, Yandex and TinEye, but there are others, I have tried a few of them but they did not return any decent results.

![]() Sam,
What am I missing? D'loaded the app, Options set to select image for context menu and browser toolbar. When I right click on an image, the drop down list (context menu) doesn't show Search by Image. I'm pretty sure it's me, but it's not allowing me to select an image. Thanks. nhy5 Hi, nhy5, Here are the settings I have .... ![]() ![]() Are they the same as yours? Sam. ------------------------- Yep, everything is same same, and still no drop down menu. Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks |

![]() Hi nhy5!
Are you viewing in a Private Window on Firefox? By default Search by Image does not function if it's in a Private Window. You can however set it to work in Private Window mode by going to Tools - Add-ons and Themes & click on the three dots by Search by Image then click Manage. From there change "Run in Private Windows" to Allow. If you're not using a Private Window, make sure the Search by Image option isn't hidden among some other add-on options, if your browser has other add-ons the option could be harder to spot amongst the others: ![]() Hope that's of some use! |

![]() As an FYI the same "Search by Image" extension is also available from the Chrome store - on Firefox as by Armin Sebastian, on Chrome as by Armin.dev.
As it's in the Chrome Store it's also available for Edge, Brave and any other browser which uses Chromium as its basis.

![]() Ok, now I realize that I had the Search by Image option on my drop down list all the while, and that's a good thing for searching for images that have been posted, but that isn't what I wanted. What I wanted to do was to upload an image that I had locally. After searching around, I found the answer.
It will work by selecting the Upload search mode, then clicking on a search engine, or All Search Engines. That will bring up a file selection dialog. From there the extension takes care of uploading to the selected engines and shows the results as usual. Perhaps, like Sam you just want to search 4 engines. Yandex, Google, Bing, and Tineye. The results will open a separate results tab for each. In the file selection dialog you can also select multiple images. This will open up 4 separate tabs for each image. That's potentially a lot of tabs. ![]() Anyhow, my problem is solved and I am happy. Sam, this add on is a nifty tool. Thanks! |
