Playmates of The 1980s: Recommendation Thread

Over the last few years, I’ve been on a journey of discovery when it comes to the wonderful world of Playboy. Although I wasn’t born until the 90s, I’ve always been drawn to the subculture surrounding the 1980s, whether it be in TV/Film, Music, and more! My fascination with the 80s also extends to Playboy Playmates it seems. I’ve even collected multiple volumes of magazines including the entire years of 87, 88, and a good chunk of 84. I know many of the big names of the decade like Karen Price, Patricia Farineli, Shannon Tweed, Donna Spier, Donna Edmonson and Petra Verkaik, as well as other fan favorites like Roberta Vazquez who has become one of my all time favorite playmates! Yet I know there are many others that I have either overlooked, or not even been aware of at all, and with that in mind, I invite everyone (especially fellow Wank Club members) to share your favorite ladies from what is arguably Playboy’s best decade!

1982 was the best year ever for Playmates. IMO only one was not an absolute world-class stunner, and she's still pretty damn good. And at least six might be in my top 30. (Kim McArthur, Karen Witter, Lourdes Estores, Anne-Marie Fox, Cathy St. George, Kym Malin)
1981 was a great year as well.

I've to admit, I'm not a big fan of the second half of the 80s pictorials (too much "stuff" and make-up IMHO). So besides my favourite vintage 1975, it's definitely the "double year" 1980/1981.

Starting with the blonde uber-seductress Gig Gangel in 01/80 and finishing with Patricia "her elegant boobiness" Farinelli (maybe my favourite buxom PMate) in 12/81.

These two magnificent ladies are the "frame" for three of my all time favourites:

Miss April 1990 and Playmate of the Year 1991 Lisa Matthews. Okay, not technically an 80s Playmate, but has the spirit of an 80s Playmate and these photos were probably taken sometime in 1989 or very early 1990 as there is normally lead time to get a Playmate layout with accompanied Centerfold shot and approved by Hef. Lisa has such a classical girl next door look that she could have been photographed in any Playboy era and pulled it off with flying colors
