If you are a fan of hers, it's worth getting for sure, but I was a little disappointed from a perverts point of view! She shows lots and lots of legs, which is great but the documentary itself doesn't show more than a minute or two from the musical numbers....and the Egyptian number, which I thought I read somewhere was going to be complete, wasn't. (It may be one of the other versions of this dvd there apparently are-one was at the $100 pbs donation level-I just ordered from deepdiscount.com ) One of the bonus features has Mitzi and Bob Macke talking about the dresses he did for her,(And one of the tops does appear to be at least semi see thru, and she joked about how she had to lay on a board between scenes, and how a lot of guys would come by and say hi Mitzi, hows it going, staring down at her chest! ) and the Egyptian outfits themselves were not censored , but how they could only use closeups for much of the number because the old censor lady couldn't see too well and thought the dress was see thru! What I saw of that part of the number was "ok" but between a split screen of her and Bob, and the number...and not seeing the whole number where she wore several outfits...well... and this photo http://images.broadwayworld.com/uplo...-500_mitz4.jpg wasn't the outfit that was banned either, I was sure hoping..... There are 79 minutes of bonus material total, with 7-8 complete numbers(one from each special) the Docu is 57 minutes long. The color is really, really nice. I think it's video, either beautifully restored video, or perhaps film, but so much better looking,particularly the 70's shows, than lets say clips I have seen from the Carol Burnett show these days. She did so many outfit changes, could sing, dance, act, do comedy, a true mega talent. I just hope one day the whole shows will be available..... The red dresses are sadly just very brief interruptions, I would have loved her to dance around in that first one after she unzipped it up to her hip! 5 minutes. [Mod Edit-removed dead link] Part one of two of the big King Tut number. Really sad to hear on the razzle dazzle DVD how this number was censored because of an old, blind woman who thought her dress was really see thru, and they had to zoom in and focus more on her hands and upper body. In fact, the last screen cap shows a bit more of that sexy outfit than you see on your tv. you see way too much scenery above her, but still good. 4 minutes. What's funny, is the last dress seems fairly see thru, but the camera hasn't zoomed in the same way, and you get to see a bit of her butt...wish this was DVD quality, not over the air VHS, but unless they release these on DVD(Like they were supposed to all along) the best we have... The copy I got isn't as good as the one above, way too bright for some reason. Also not as many costume changes, or sexy outfits, but still some good stuff! first clip, 2:10 and two brief segments from early in the show. Truly amazing how sexy she is in a white top and tight and short shorts. Wish the camera was closer, and the image was clearer, but still...wow! And she had to know what she was doing, bending down at the waist while the helicopter was shooting her from behind. Really no reason to put the whole number with fellow dancers Roy Clark and Wayne Rogers, is there??? Check out those 2 last vidcaps, and tell me it isn't a crying shame these shows aren't out on DVD's! Ok the last really good clip, her in a semi see thru dress. 1:49. I am sure it's not really see thru, but damn, I'd love to see those shots of her butt much more clearly. Oh well...can't do anything about it. There's a 3rd show available on ioffer if anyone is richer than me. Its called Roarin' In The 20's which might have some good stuff, but the part I am really interested in is a bonus clip of her on the Tonight show....sure would love to see that!
