The Landing Strip vs. The Pubic Triangle.

Greetings Friends,
As undoubtedly discussed before, the chiefist distinction btween modern nd retro porn lies in the female pubic topiary.Even a cursory glance at vintage erotica from the 60s or 70s (famously the 'let it be' era in which the 'wild man look' of unshevelled hippyish hair on men was rivalled by similarly luxuriant undergrowth pertaining to the 'hippy chicks' of that era) reveals this.
Yes ,today with our flawless prenned, groommed ans siliconed San Fernando Valley starlets, we have lost sight of the real nature of femal pubic hair and regard trimmed pubic tonsory as the default standard - to the extent that many actually find the naturak bush physically repulsive.
To wit, two main styles of pubic topiary now dominate the professional porn universe.Firstly we have the 'landing strip' or 'Brazillian' (as it sometimes, inexplicably,) called.I don't need to lecture you that this particular style consists of a perfectly squared, trimmed, narrow rectangle lying, midpoint, athwart the vital chasm.
Secondly, we have a simulcra or the the 'natural' triangle, but improved upon.
In this style all hairinessbelow the top of the vulval ceft is stringently removed, leaving the sides of the labia majora clean.The artifice, in imitating nature, lies in carefully trimming the remaining 'above vulva' pubes into a nice, neat, equilateral triangle, which points down - like an inviting arrow - to the gates of paradise.
In all I must say I prefer the latter style.Nature but improved upon.The hint of the sublime, female, mystery,power and earthiness, but the 'nastiness' of 'brute nature' somehow neutralized and the power converted to sheer erotic force.

The best example I can think of the 'natural' triangle you described is Ashlyn Gere.

Having grown up in the 70s and 80s, I prefer an even more natural appearance. Something along the lines of an early Ginger Lynn or Krista Lane. There is nothing sexier than a beautiful woman wearing tiny, see-through panties or bikini bottoms with just a little pube showing.

I find it mildly disturbing when stars spend thousands of dollars on plastic surgery to enhance their breasts to give a more womanly appearance yet they completely/mostly shave their pubic area giving a more adolescent look. There is a dichotomy there I don't understand and I am not entirely comfortable with...I'd still bang them though.

As I understand it, some of the reasons for the smooth look are hygiene, filming angles and possibly comfort (given the gonzo nature of current films)...
1. Hygiene issues can be cured by...I don't know...washing up between shoots.
2. Filming angles-they never seemed have trouble getting shots of Ginger or Krista or Vanessa...etc.
3. Comfort (let me put on my imaginary wife-beater)-they can put up with multiple strangers watching them shoot a scene and/or the discomfort of plastic surgery, it seems like a few tangled hairs would pale in comparison.

It is upsetting to me that there is no middle ground in porn today. You either have smooth and mainstream or fetish and bigfoot-bush. And, unfortunately, mainstream doesn't mean just porn anymore, just look at the infamous photos of Brittney Spears or (shudder) Paris Hilton. The bald-is-beautiful look has permeated all layers of (I can only speak for American culture here) culture and is considered the norm rather than fetish like it once was.

Big fan of the bush and hate the totally shaven look.

The improved triangle would be my favourite although I like the look of say Linzie Dawn McKenzie with the paintbrush/thick landing strip look.

Love the hair. It frames the thing so well.

I prefer a nice triangular bush, although completely shaved is acceptable. What I absolutely loathe is the landing strip or other weird variations on shaving to a small inverted triangle or a circular island of hair some distance above the labia. WTF is that supposed to look like? As long as the bumcrack is fairly hair free I'm all for the bush.
