Maybe it's 6 years they got precisely because that is when he became President and that is as far as the House's mandate from the courts... looking into conflicts of interest which would only apply during Trump's Presidency.... |

Candidate Trump has been a little quiet, expecting something from the appeals court about Georgia/Cannon/Dearie. Worried about Georgia, despite Walker who should be 80 points behind Warnock he's only 2 points behind doing everything in his power to lose. He does not even live there it's been discovered, and republicans won governor seat, and attorney general, secretary of state and there is no Biden coat tail from two years ago. Obama goes today to support Warnock. He should be thanking McConnell instead of ripping him for leaving a little wiggle room if he is the republican choice for president instead of finally one time in his life saying McConnell saying if Trump is our nominee we will disqualify him from being in our party, and immediately ask dems to vote on 14th amendment to disqualify from holding any elected office. But we know McConnell is about covering himself above anything else in this world. Last edited by Baxter49; December 1st, 2022 at 01:05 PM.. |

I'm posting this here because feel it's on topic to show how the declassification process works (very, very relevant to Trump now) given Bush meeting the 9/11 commission in 2004 was released only three weeks ago and mentioned in one newspaper to a handful of tweets.
So I guess that means in 2039 we see the 1/6 commission report when it's fully declassified? Bush apparently did a lot of lying when he told them to ask him anything. No one thought it was declassified because they were president. My point is Bush meeting 9/11 commissioned happened in 2004, and took until three weeks ago to be declassified. No one knows/cares. https://omny.fm/shows/countdown-with...io#description A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: Three weeks ago - so quietly it has barely been noticed - the government declassified the 31-page "memorandum for the record" of the 9/11 Commission's 2004 interview with President George W. Bush (2:20) In it, Bush's words are beyond damning - they are confessional. They confirm his dereliction of duty, his culpability, his malfeasance, in the months before 9/11. Bush lied (5:38) about the August 6 President's Daily Briefing (6:58) Bush lied about the only threats being "overseas" (7:53) Bush lied about Al-Qaeda cells in the U.S. (8:23) Bush lied about aircraft as missiles (8:57) Bush lied about being warned about domestic threats (9:30) Bush lied about George Tenet never warning him (10:00) Bush lied about never being told how Al-Qaeda would attack (14:28) Sadly the 9/11 Commissioners never asked Bush about the allegation that he rushed through the August 6 2001 PDB because he wanted to go fishing and told the briefer "All right, you've covered your ass now." That's unfortunate because ALL Bush did in his interview with the Commissioners was try to cover HIS ass. For more than 20 years he's succeeded, but after the declassification of this memorandum, history will conclude two things: Osama Bin Laden attacked America - no one else. And George W. Bush made sure that America was unprepared - no one else. Last edited by Baxter49; December 1st, 2022 at 02:52 PM.. |

Walker is a joke. I don't attribute his ramblings to football injuries. I think he is just one of the stupidest most unfit for Senate candidates ever! He isn't going to win. It's not going to be close. Baxter you worry too much. They showed a clip of a Georgia Republican significant state office holder on Morning Joe. He said he went to vote and when he looked at the ballot he just decided to leave. He couldn't vote for either of them. Do I believe him? Why would he say that? He said there is no way he can vote for Walker and he can't vote for a Dem.... |

Watched a little of that interview after Scarborough blamed dems for everything he did to give Trump millions in free coverage in 2015-16 with his hidden girlfriend/now wife at the time as they lecture us to know their value when everything he says should come with a disclaimer he did everything he could to make Trump presidential after knowing exactly who he was long before 2015. And that show is still 90 percent Trump. |

Appeals court halts special master review of documents seized at Mar-a-Lago in major defeat for Trump
(CNN) In a major defeat for former President Donald Trump, a federal appeals court on Thursday halted a third-party review of documents seized from his Mar-a-Lago estate. The ruling removes a major obstacle to the Justice Department’s investigation into the mishandling of government records from Trump’s time in the White House. In a ruling on Thursday, the 11th US Circuit Court of Appeals reversed a lower court’s order appointing a so-called special master to sort through thousands of documents found at Trump’s home to determine what should be off limits to investigators. “The law is clear,” the appeals court wrote. “We cannot write a rule that allows any subject of a search warrant to block government investigations after the execution of the warrant. Nor can we write a rule that allows only former presidents to do so.” The 11th Circuit said that either approach would be a “radical reordering of our caselaw limiting the federal courts’ involvement in criminal investigations” and that “both would violate bedrock separation-of-powers limitations.” |

First on CNN: Federal judge orders former top lawyers in Trump’s White House to testify in criminal grand jury probe A federal judge has ordered former top Trump White House lawyers to provide additional grand jury testimony, rejecting former President Donald Trump’s privilege claims in the Justice Department’s criminal investigation of his effort to overturn the 2020 election, people briefed on the matter said. Pat Cipollone, the Trump White House counsel, and his deputy, Patrick Philbin, appeared in September before the grand jury in Washington, DC, as part of the Justice Department probe, which is now being overseen by newly appointed special counsel Jack Smith. Cipollone and Philbin declined to answer some questions at that time, citing Trump’s claims of executive and attorney-client privilege. Cipollone and Philbin didn’t respond to CNN’s request for comment. Trump is expected to appeal. CNN has reached out to his representatives. The Justice Department did not respond to a request for comment. The privilege claims have been the subject of an ongoing legal fight in secret proceedings before the Washington federal judge overseeing the grand jury. The judge has similarly rejected Trump’s privilege claims for other witnesses, including top aides to former Vice President Mike Pence. Marc Short and Greg Jacob provided a second round of grand jury testimony after the judge ordered them to answer additional questions as part of the January 6-related probe. |
