You see that first shot above from the post of Member "Know-It-All," where Jaclyn Smith sends her love by forming the "heart" shape? Do you think she had in mind you, or me? (But me more than you, naturally.)

She has always struck me as standoffish, and unattainable. Yet once I made the mistake of plunging into this thread (since I needed to check past offerings to reduce the chance of offering duplicates, fully aware as I was of all the time it would take), leading to clicking here and clicking there, I got the idea she is a pretty nice and warm-hearted person in real life.

Jaclyn is lovely even without a preponderance of make-up.

I recall reading a comment years ago, by someone involved with the production of Charlie's Angels, that Jaclyn was the rare camera subject where she could be counted upon to come across as beautiful, regardless of the camera angle. We are dealing with a very special specimen of seductress, here.

What I'm going to do is present recycles of past images from the thread that I found to be of particular interest, as well as offer my own original screen grabs from many of the views that will be offered below.

If I may begin by mentioning how touched I was by the expressions of infatuatio... I mean, appreciation that Member "Pdsme" presented on page three.

I was taken aback by how absurdly young Jaclyn appeared in one of her earliest roles, from a 1970 episode of The Partridge Family, where the Partridges are concerned that Jaclyn may be a love interest of the man Shirley Jones' character was dating. Member "Grossnex" provided this view among others, in his 2011 Post #81.



I also liked this shot of the actress, as presented by Member "Det391," in 2009. She looks majestic:



Naturally, contributions from the thread heavily emphasized the Charlie's Angels role that made Jaclyn famous. I was particularly pleased with this shot, among so many similar ones, that Member "Sonnet" provided in his giant package of "photoshoots" in 2014:



The three things I made note of were, 1) How daintily Jaclyn posed with her feet, exuding such femininity, 2) How nice it was of her to be so revealing with her body, in contrast to the other two (certainly, Kate Jackson had the excuse of being the "smart" one, so the sexiness was mainly left for the two others), and 3) While Jaclyn and Kate smiled in many of the photos, Farrah looked a bit pissed.

On the subject of Jaclyn and her thankfully never-too-far-away bikinis, I enjoyed Jaclyn in this particular bikini, as presented by George Anson in 2014 (from a 1979 magazine shoot). VEF's faithful member would offer new views with the same bathing suit four years later. I've combined the three:



Member "Pygar77" offered views of a bikini-clad Jaclyn from an episode he identified as S02Ep02. As the lady looked especially scintillating, I'd like to offer new views from this appearance:






Ten years ago, Grossnex pointed to views from "Jaclyn Smith: Workout for Beauty and Balance," writing, "This Exercise Vid looks like it's worth checking out, but I can't find it anywhere. If any of you brothers has better luck, I would greatly appreciate the post." Well, it's been a decade, but Grossnex is still active. (The way so many VEF members have devotedly stuck around for so many years is wonderful, but also surprising.) At least for his benefit, I see a partial video has been put up on YouTube, as well as a preview. This product is still being sold, for around twenty-five bucks.




In 1991, Jaclyn appeared in a TV Movie entitled, The Rape of Doctor Willis, and I made sure to dig it up, given the potential for the "damsel in distress" element (and certainly not for the "rape" factor, which no one may dispute is repugnant; besides, a television film was not going to offer anything explicit).



The "twist" is that the assailant has later been shot, and as coincidence would have it, he happens to land on Jaclyn's operating table. Jaclyn is the only surgeon on duty who can save his life. Yet if his life can't be saved, the possibility of a murder charge arises. Of course, it's another TV-movie with the trappings of the usual TV-movie, but while going through it to see what may be extracted, I'll have to admit, the ending was compelling, and even emotional. The film is on YouTube.




I was thrilled to learn from Jaclyn's IMDb filmography that she appeared on Battle of the Network Stars, in 1977. Those familiar with this show may be aware that T&A is potentially a'plenty, and (as an example), Lynda "Wonder Woman" Carter's fine form was especially appetizing, and I recently contributed to the Heather Thomas thread, where I made sure to add tantalizing views from her own "Battle" appearance. So I wasted no time in trying to see whether references, or better yet, a video, may be found.



There was a video on YouTube, apparently from a VHS tape, and atrocious in quality. While going through it, I was reminded by how much fun these shows were. So many "real" stars, or at least lovingly known entities, participated. (I probably knew this once, but the episode revealed how Rob Reiner and Penny Marshall were an item. Their relationship was given a spotlight at around the 1:12 mark, where they exchanged witty lines.)

(At the 56:00 mark was the exceptional Lee Meriwether, whom I composed a post for less than a month ago. She's running in slow motion, we have a head-on view, and you know what that means.)

When I went through the thread afterwards, I became aware the show did not escape some members' attention, as with this 2014 post by George Anson. Some lovely views of Jaclyn apparently about to jump into the pool (refreshingly clear photos of paparazzi Ron Gallela) were offered, but here is one that was missed:



The video features a kayak race at the beginning, which was the only event with a pool connection, but there was no Jaclyn. There was mention of a "try-out," so maybe she didn't make the grade. George Anson provided this view that is being shown below in 2014 (which he repeated six years later), and perhaps this was a "behind the scenes" shot (she's not wearing the bathing cap, so what was with the implied swimming..? EDIT: The second photo of Jaclyn in the water is being added after this post was published, and I found it on this page; evidently, there was a mysterious swimming event, but forget about finding it in the episode):

There was, however, this race at shortly after the forty-two minute mark — and it was amazing:



Jaclyn shoots off like a rocket, quickly overtakes Loretta Swit, and then makes the one who is ahead, sexy Jane Seymour (in yellow), come across as a tortoise to Jaclyn's hare; The commentators got very excited.



Commentator Howard Cosell: "The little lady who turned the tide for (Gabe) Kaplan's team, it seems to me, was this one: Jaclyn Smith; take over, Juice."
Commentator O.J. Simpson: "For anyone who has ever watched Charlie's Angels, it's no surprise that Jaclyn Smith keeps herself in excellent shape, in the condition to run a relay race like this... hey, Howard, that's a surprise to me."
Commentator Howard Cosell: (Chuckles) "Oh, boy, what a long, loose stride!"



Cosell: "Let's talk with her. Hey Jackie, baby, you won that race..."
Jacylyn: "Oh, I did..."
Cosell: "...For the blue team, you really poured it on. You were a track star in Texas, or something?"
Jacylyn: "No, no... maybe the 50 yard dash in high school" (laughs). (Interview follows. "I'm an old-fashioned girl with old-fashioned values, and I love staying at home... I'm not into a Hollywood lifestyle of parties and discotheques...")

Jaclyn then relates how she has been involved with designing her house. This was relevant for me, because while going through the thread, I came upon the post of Member "RLWeed947040," where he wrote, "As many of you may or may not know this about Jaclyn Smith, She designed, and made all of her own fashions, then decided to become a spokesperson for her clothing line..." That's impressive, isn't it? I normally associate celebrities with products attached to their names as nothing more than a licensing maneuver, but Jaclyn appeared to get actively involved.


For curiosity value, the actress Christina Chambers gave her take on her "Jaclyn Smith" character, from the 2004 TV-movie, Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of 'Charlie's Angels'; you may agree she is fairly reminiscent of Jaclyn.




Her appearance in The Bourne Identity (1988) (I did not know there was a version before the Matt Damon vehicles) is important, because I'm gathering Jaclyn was not featured in many lovemaking scenes throughout her onscreen career. Here, Richard Chamberlain gets to undress her. My grabs are followed by screen shots that were provided by Member "Asdd" in 2010. (Grossnet also contributed a set the following year. I made sure not to repeat his views.)




Nightkill from 1980 is a thriller that also featured James Franciscus, Mike Connors, and most excitingly, Robert Mitchum as a cunning detective. Her insensitive husband gets murdered, her lover gets murdered, and a few questions get posed. As far as we are concerned, Jaclyn is trapped in the shower by the villain, and she can't get out..!





The villain traps her, and turns on the steam.



Of course she would have to be standing behind translucent glass (first shot above) so that we can't make anything out, but I have a feeling she was wearing one of her famous bikini tops anyway. (She is very shy, that Jaclyn.)





No one wants to see that beautiful body get scalded.

Jaclyn appeared in the short documentary from 2017, Jaclyn Smith: Kill or Be Killed, talking about her Nightkill experience.


Lastly, from the thread, a member offered the following, with a warning that the nude photo may be a fake. Well, it most likely is. Very unlikely the lovely actress would have been caught dead revealing her goods, especially so blatantly. (Yet I'm pointing to it in the vain hope that it might be real.)

The following day, a tab for Google search results remained open from the gargantuan research conducted for my post from above, and one pointed to this YouTube video (a poor-quality VHS transfer) featuring Jaclyn in a 1977 commercial for "Woolite," a laundry detergent product.



Nothing particularly sexy or enticing about this contribution, but before closing the book on Jaclyn for now, I was compelled to make this presentation. I don't know why. It was as though some scary spirit took hold of me, and forced me to do it. (I hope I'm not turning into Andy Kaufman, from God Told Me To. Someone, please stop me before I kill again.)



One thing is for sure. Whether she appears in her blessed bikinis or simply hawks a product to stuff her pockets, there is no getting around (as is the focus in this case; the same applies to her body) that absolutely spectacular face.

All right! So I found myself back on this page for reasons that are now beginning to frighten me, and I am tacking this on as an addendum instead of creating a brand new post, because I did mention I am closing the book on Jaclyn, for now. If I'm adding a new thought, obviously the book is still open, and an addendum is my way of reducing any of you pointing fingers at me for being such a shameless liar.

I noticed the post of Member "Jluo" near the top of this page, and since I made such a big deal of Jaclyn's shower scene in Nightkill (with the implication that it's not easy to find Jaclyn in the shower), photos of the actress in the shower were featured, and to top it off, she was with a guy, and from what I've determined with my quick research, Jaclyn behaving romantically with men appears to be a rarity.

So I wondered what the occasion was for Jaclyn to so sinfully allow herself to get caught in a shower with a man, at the same time raising the question, what kind of a woman canoodles with a man in the shower without taking off her bikini? It's established Jaclyn loves her bikinis, but let's be reasonable here, Ms. "security blanket" Linus, from Peanuts. There comes a time when you simply have to stop hiding behind those damned bikinis.

I got to the bottom of where these shots were from. Looks like Jaclyn posted them herself on Instagram, back in January of 2018, to remind her fans that she is not to be taken for granted. (A bragging point she has every right to remind others of. The photos turned out to be part of a shoot for Max Factor cosmetics; it appears she was actively promoting her Kmart clothing line at the time.)

The article mentioned that she was seventy-two at the time, which means she's now seventy-six, the age she arrived at a month ago. It simply boggles the mind that someone as striking could look the way she does today, and in addition, how unfair someone as striking as her could get old. This is not lawful, and someone calls to get arrested.
