The earliest, earliest versions of NSS were not even called NSS back then. The 'NSS' designation didn't come about until the around the early to mid 1980s after the first editions of "The Girls Of Summer", and then shortly thereafter, the first "Girls Of Winter", both in 1984 IIRC.

The earliest versions of the one-offs I own date back at least to late 60s, circa 1966-1967.
Though most of the early one-offs, a lot them were titles collecting certain subjects. Such as the Little Annie Fannie collections, and 'Holiday Special Editions'.

And then there were some of "The Best Of Playboy" collections. there were quite a few of them up until early 1970s.

The versions featuring photos predominately with very little text didn't really start until after the first version of "Girls Of Playboy", in the early to mid 1970s, IIRC. Which then was reissued over and over. Until I think they reached up to Vol 5.

Here is what I'm sure is just a partial listing of the earliest 'special editions', or 'flats' as Wikipedia call them. And described a few of the earliest ones I own/owned.

EDIT: I thought I'd sign up for the 1-month plan, and logged on today. Turns out that you can indeed view HQ scans of entire issues, but online only, and cannot DL anything, despite the fact that the Terms of Use doc states clearly that customers can do so. SMH. That is really an oppressive, tight-fisted form of DRM, if you ask this consumer. Caveat emptor, and all that...

OK, I must report on the current state of online Playboy's offerings. I received a card in the mail that said that I, as a subscriber with 2 issues remaining on my now dead Playboy subscription, have two options: (1) wait for a refund check of $20 (which I should have taken, in retrospect), or (2) sign up for free for the following combination of items:

2 months of some magazine reader called Readily (signed up, login didn't work, complete bust).
1 year of iPlayboy, all of the now historic Playboy magazine issues in a reader that requires a browser to view & stream (no download option). Note that the magazine itself will no longer produce any editorial or pictorial content, which goes against the initial announcement from the magazine, but as expected; the last Playmate ever has now come & gone.
1 year of Playboy.TV. Basically, this is an archive of the channel's old shows. Some newer shows seem to be updated on the site, but it's pretty much just the shows that were produced for the channel specifically in the last 25 years (strangely, every Sexcetera is still on there). There is very little Playboy magazine or Playmate content from the last 20 years (primarily in reality format of Playmates from the last 10 years or so, in a show called "Playmates!"; I hope they didn't pay someone to add the exclamation point). Most importantly, much of the material that used to be on Playboy.TV, such as the Playmate Calendar videos from the 80's, 90's, & 2000's: gone.
1 year of Playboy Plus, without Girlfriends. Pretty much the Playboy Plus content that's made the rounds for years. However, again most importantly, the following is the old Cyber Club material that continues to be available, and what is not:

Available:
some Daily Double sets from a few selected months,

a selection of about 50 photos (out of what was available on the Cyber Club) of just about every Playmate in history (frankly though, pretty much all of that is also available here, except that PB+ ran them through a Photoshop filter),

an occasional feature, for example, 100 random Book of Lingerie covers

Not Available:
any actual content from Newsstand Specials, unless a photo got selected for a given Playmate

any video content from the magazine or old PB Channel, such as Playmate Profiles

any miscellaneous "Girls of" or non-Playmate models, which was the question that started this thread; the exception is that some Playmates who posed again at a later time have had those pictorials re-posted as a new feature on PB+. UPDATE: I was able to find some miscellaneous non-Playmate model's pictorials from the magazine from the last 10 years or so, about 10-20 photos available in each feature. MORE UPDATES: I looked for some Newsstand Specials models from 8-15 years ago, with no luck, so this material, that used to comprise the bulk of the Cyber Club in its last days, has been scrubbed. While looking for celebrities, the selection is sparse: Lisa Rinna, the Sylvia Kristel pictorial from 1982, some "celebrities" from Playboy TV's reality shows, Carol Alt, Rachel Hunter, Angie Everhart, Stephanie Seymour, Women of the Sexiest Bartenders (the only "Women Of" pictorial I've found), Cindy Crawford, the porn star pictorial from the late 90's, Samantha Fox, Dian Parkinson, Rhonda Shear, KC Winkler, Marisa Pare, Denise Crosby, Bo Derek, and Margot Kidder--but nothing as far as previously unpublished photos, so nothing to see here.

So, my initial answer was confirmed as correct, other than some Playmate photo sets, which are subsets of what was formerly available on the Cyber Club. That was a very sobering, sad experience.

That's what I've recently found out, and promptly cancelled. Okay, Playboy, you suckered me into giving up eight dollars. *golf clap* Enjoy your ill-gotten gains.

PB was a true piece of Americana, a forerunner of the Sexual Revolution, and something to be truly proud of as an American, and it is a shame that the property became so-poorly managed that it became a fossilised dinosaur in the course of the development of the Intarwebz.

If they simply made the full issues available in PDF form for DL, all would be forgiven, 'cause that's something I've wanted since...well, ever.

They just couldn't follow the old marketing adage: "Give the people what they want."

Goodbye, untattooed, unaugmented girl-next-door. You're in the rear-view mirror now.

B) However, the host is flakey, and I've tried to DL a few links, but the DL process always aborts 1/3rd or 1/2 of the way!

Can a saint find a better host for these files, if they have them already DLed?
Hopefully a host that doesn't have stupid wait-times of an hour or more between each DL.

I'm using JDownloader (free and widely used program) and successfully downloaded Playmates.zip and Classics.zip a few hours ago. There was no interruptions or anything and speed was the maximum my provider is giving. There is 1 hour of waiting between downloads indeed, but your next download should again start at maximum speed.

Try JD, see if it helps.

JDownloader requires Java to work, AFAIK. My system (Windows 10) does not have Java due to vulnerabilities in Java which pose problems.

EDIT: So far, I'm 0 for 5.

It wouldn't be so painful if someone would chop "PlayBoy CyberClub Playmates.zip 6.68GB" and "PlayBoy CyberClub Cyber Girls.zip 8.19GB" in half, 'cause it always breaks the DL about 1/2-way.
