Tom Lisanti. (2003). Drive-in Dream Girls: A Galaxy of B-Movie Starlets of the Sixties. Jefferson, NC: McFarland & Co., p.221.

Diane Bond was a real looker with long straight red-auburn hair, a bit of a pug nose, and a distinctive look that set her apart from the blonde drive-in movie starlets of the day. A shapely beauty (the press book for A Swinging Summer extolled her measurements as being "36-23-36"), Bond was bikini-clad in every one of her drive-in film appearances. The fact that she never achieved a modicum of stardom may have been for a lack of determination on her part to obtain bigger roles. She certainly was beautiful enough.

Diane Bond was born in Los Angeles but spent her childhood on her father's ranch in the mountains of Colorado. The athletic Bond quickly became an expert skier, skater, and horse rider. In her mid-teens an executive of the Rose Marie Reid Bathing Suit firm spotted her on the beach at Malibu and offered her a job as a model. Between modelling assignments, the shapely redhead began working with a troupe of trapeze artists. The group was hired to perform on the TV show The Greatest Show on Earth in 1963. She made her film debut a year later as one of the beach girls in Pajama Party (1964).... Bond also began doing stunt work between acting assignments, where, according to the A Swingin' Summer press book, she was tagged "Hollywood's prettiest stunt girl."

In Diane Bond's next movie, she was again cast as a beach girl but she received featured billing as "The Girl in the Polka Dot Bikini" in A Swingin' Summer (1965).... As the film's opening credits roll, Diane, in her signature pink and white polka-dot bikini, is dancing on water skis to the surf rock instrumental... [the rest of the text is inaccessible].
