Karen Elaina Price (born July 17, 1960) is an American model, stunt woman and television producer. She is sometimes credited as Karen Castoldi. She was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month in January 1981. Her centerfold was photographed by Ken Marcus.

For Playmate Karen Price, being the subject of a centerfold pictorial wasn’t just her entrée into the annals of Playboy, but to celluloid as well. The January 1981 Playmate’s Playboy pictorial is forever canonized in the cult classic film Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, as the image is seen posted on the vertical stabilizer of Max’s gyro machine.
Karen was particularly limber—something that no doubt served her well in her Playmate shoot, which was titled “Gym Dandy.” But the model didn’t use her agility just for posing. She used it to carve an unconventional and powerful Hollywood career, one that would blaze new trails for women in film as a stuntwoman in more than 25 films.
How did this Pasadena native go from Playboy centerfold to pulling off daredevil feats in films such as the action flick Hot Pursuit (starring Arnold Schwarzenegger) and cult classics Less Than Zero and Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment? By pursuing a lifetime of rigorous gymnastics and acrobatics training that began at 12 years old.
Her father, a professional musician, encouraged her to follow in his footsteps by signing her up for intensive piano lessons as a kid. Karen quickly found her true love in practicing gymnastics. She told Playboy that while she thought two-hour piano lessons were unbearable, but five hours on the balance beam was a snap. She competed in local gymnastics competitions and took several top prizes. As a teen she coached and taught younger kids in the sport. She went on to learn acrobatics—the art of tumbling, flipping, and maneuvering with a partner or team.
After trying her hand at acting in a bit part in the 1982 film Swamp Thing, a film released soon after her 1981 Playboy pictorial, the aerial athlete quickly put her lifelong talent to work by suiting up alongside stuntmen and performing in action, drama, and comedy films from 1984 to 1994.
Though she’s best known for her acrobatics on film, the Playmate is still celebrated as a model; Karen was featured in Playboy’s January 2000 “Centerfolds of the Century” issue.


California health fanatics, Karen keeps in shape with a standard balanced diet (hold the bean sprouts), plus lots of athletic involvement. At the ripe old age of 12, she was introduced to the rigorous sport of gymnastics and took to it immediately. At the time, her father - who is now a drummer for Rich Little and has played with such greats as Oscar Peterson and Stan Kenton - wanted young Karen to be a musician, too. She diligently practiced her scales but soon found that while two hours at the piano were almost unbearable, spending four or five hours at the balance beam was a snap. After winning first prize in several local competitions, Karen became a teacher of gymnastics - and developed an interest in acrobatics as well. (Gymnastics is an individual sport; acrobatics involves two or more people.) Karen loves children; since she was 15, she has been coaching youngsters in the sport, and recently she tutored a 14-year-old in reading and writing. She also has a definite soft spot for stray animals. When we met her, she had just adopted a baby squirrel, which she named J.R. (after her boyfriend, not Larry Hagman).
Does Karen Price have any vices? “Sugar,” she says. “I’ve got a serious sweet tooth. And I do swear sometimes. But I guess my only real vice - if you want to call it that - is making love.” Actually, we wouldn’t call it that.

Playboy Centerfold May 1974, Playboy Playmate of the Year 1975

Marilyn Lange is a prodigiously endowed model chosen by Playboy magazine as the POTM for May 1974, and later, the 1975 Playmate of the Year. Her original pictorial was photographed by Dwight Hooker. She is a graduate of the class of 1970 of Westfield High School. Just one month after her high school graduation, she married a classmate from that same high school, Jeff Pelosi, who also was the drummer in the 1960s rock band The Critters, who had hit records that included "Younger Girl".
The information comes from Marilyn's wedding announcement in the April 9, 1970 issue of the Westfield (N.J.) Leader newspaper:
"Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Lange, of 721 Dorian Rd, announce the engagement of their daughter, Marilyn Jane, to Jeffrey Alan Pelosi, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome J. Pelosi, of Maplewood. Miss Lange is a senior at Westfield High School. She will attend the Berkeley School, East Orange, in the fall. Mr. Pelosi is a former member of the recording group, The Critters. He is now pursuing a songwriting career. The wedding is scheduled for July 18 at Saint Paul's Church."
Lange and Pelosi were apparently divorced just a few years later, as the text of her original appearance in Playboy has her "married at 18 to a member of a popular east coast rock band .... the marriage didn't last and she has no plans to try matrimony again". It also makes reference to a boyfriend named "Kip".
Marilyn Lange: Soccer

At that time, she lived in Hawaii and played soccer. As a publicity stunt, the Chicago Sting of the men's North American Soccer League selected her in the final round of the 1976 draft.
Jim Walker, general manager of the Chicago Sting said, "We liked what we saw". Lange was picked for the Sting's sixth draft choice. In the end she only did some promotional work for the team, and the North American Soccer League. Marilyn was quoted as having said,: "I wish I were a guy so I could really play".
She never played in a game for the Sting.
Not much else is known about her. She disappeared from public view not long after completing her contractual obligations to Playboy. She has understandably developed a cult following.

Born March 15th, 1954, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, former gymnast Nancy Cameron was plucked out of obscurity at the age of 19 when she was chosen as Playmate of the Month for Playboy‘s 20th Anniversary Issue in January 1974. Her appearance in the magazine was somewhat groundbreaking, as the January ’74 issue was the first to feature a double-sided centerfold, with Nancy shot from the front on one side and from behind on the other.

In the profile accompanying her Playboy pictorial, Nancy lists her turn-ons as “dogs and classic cars,” her turn-offs as “people who smoke,” and describes her ideal man as “Someone working in law, politics or entertainment who’s honest, open-minded and with a good sense of humor.” Her ambitions are “Peace of mind, success and an opportunity to help others.” She names Poseidon Adventure, A Clockwork Orange, and The Sound of Music as her favorite movies. Cameron appeared in a double-sided centerfold, with both her nude front and back visible. Her centerfold was photographed by Dwight Hooker. On the cover of the May 1976 issue, she appears in front of the 1886 painting by Georges Seurat, Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, posed similarly to the main character in that composition.

Extremely cute, slim and shapely blonde sprite Hope Marie Carlton was born Hope Marie Rizzitano on March 3, 1966 in Riverhead, New York. Carlton began modeling at age thirteen (her mother was a professional model). Hope was the Playmate of the Month in the July, 1985 issue of "Playboy" magazine. She went on to appear in several "Playboy" videos and a bunch of "Playboy" special edition publications. Carlton portrayed feisty federal drug enforcement agent, "Taryn", in three enjoyably low-brow, low-budget action pictures for director Andy Sidaris: Hard Ticket to Hawaii (1987), Picasso Trigger (1988) and Savage Beach (1989). Moreover, Hope acted in a handful of B-flicks and even a few horror movies (she has a memorably sexy cameo in A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988)). Among the TV shows, she made guest appearances on, are The A-Team (1983), Married with Children (1987), L.A. Law (1986), Charles in Charge (1984), Quantum Leap (1989) and Baywatch (1989). Carlton owned and operated the resort, the "Sorrel River Ranch", with her one-time husband, Rob Levin, in Moab, Utah. Hope and Levin had a daughter, prior to divorcing in 2005. Hope Marie Carlton now lives in Colorado.
