I found the post by cqnew1648 - "How should we measure?" - particularly interesting. It outlined, among other things, how the size of a well-endowed Playmate's bust may appear to vary according to the stance she adopts, and how a Playmate's overall frame may influence perceptions of her bustiness.

My own thinking is this: when a Playmate is short, with a narrow waist and slim hips, her hooterage looks all the more spectacular. Kimberly McArthur is a good example. She stood just 5' 3", and had a 22" waist and 34" hips, which made her 37E jugs appear especially massive.

The other California girls were Kimberly Herrin from Santa Barbara County (Miss March) and the late, lamented Cathy Larmouth from Torrance (Miss June).

Miss Larmouth, who died of a heart attack in January 2007, provided one of the most memorable quotes of 1981 in the interview that accompanied her centerfold pictorial. Referring to her 38E bust, she said: "I hardly think showin' your bazongas to 6,000,000 people qualifies anybody as a celebrity. On the other hand, it's a great way to meet people."
