You should "worry" instead about the United States - apparently Islam is the fastest growing religion in America. By 2050, the Muslim American population is expected to more than double, from 3.5 million today to 8.1 million. This increase would make Muslims the second-largest religious group in the United States.

I wouldn't bet anything on what the UK will be like in 207 years time. Well, except that there won't be a UK, I think the odds of that are pretty good.

At the very real risk of embarrassing myself because "sums" are involved, that seems to me like the Muslim population in the UK has grown by nearly 50% in 10 years. At that rate, the Muslim population will be near 10% in 2031, 15% in in 2041, 22.5% in 2051, 33.75% in 2061 etc.

Of course, that's taking for granted that the other populations continue to grow at the rate that they did from 2011 to 2021. I do think the Black population has grown pretty quickly in that time, though I've no idea what the rate is.

Well, if you allow for exponential growth... But as I said, it's pretty unlikely, because each generation tends to be less religious than the last.

I'll give you another example of why this is so silly though. People are getting very upset that we have Asian people being elected to high(ish) office, like Mayor of London. They take it as some sort of sign that the UK is now under Sharia law. But those people are getting elected by a majority of non-Muslims.

You can flip it around too. As an atheist I could get upset about Christians being elected, and rant about the UK becoming a Christian country with fucked up Christian morality. Fortunately it's mostly not though.
