They should have taken Crocodile Dundee with them. Maybe this is how the GB team are planning on winning some medals? Have everybody else get lost so they have to forfeit and leaving the Brits alone at the competitions? |

After their dismal showing in the Cricket I am pretty sure the Aussies know the way home-in big iron bird
![]() Heard in the street-and I kid you not this was absolutely true. Two women discussing the recent wet weather: 1st Woman: "Ooh we've had so much rain down our way, I wonder when it will end?" 2nd Woman: "I heard on the news, the weather forecaster say it was all the fault of the Gulf stream!" ![]() Nearly right love, JET stream not the Gulf. As Robert Robinson would say "Oh, would that it were! ![]()

Elton John in his new autobiography says he "wasted too much of his life on drugs" to which Keith Richards and Steven Tyler both shout out " I'll take whatever you're not using, mate."

I noticed that some idiot is trying to cash in on the Fifty Shades of... series of books by updating great classics like Jane Eyre and Sherlock Holmes and adding sex scenes and god knows what else-Holmes and Watson homosexual? You'll be telling me next Batman is gay! Leave the bloody books alone, it is not needed-what will Jane Eyre say about Mr Rochester "Reader, he ravished me!" and what of Mr D'Arcy will he take Miss Bennett to the lake and indulge in a bit of underwater sex!!

Yes I saw that yesterday I wondered what it was, it is useful when sending PMs to illustrate your argument or point of view-I welcome it.
![]() George Osborne and David Cameron and their ilk use these places as examples of the working man/woman's environment and to show that they 'care' about the little people they trample on each day and deprive of a decent standard of living. Given the choice they would likely want to be at a golf course or posh hotel seeing as they've never done a real hard day's graft in a factory or warehouse etc - I'd like to see Boris bluster his way through a day driving a forklift or a crane! I would say the only reason for the Hi Vis jacket and hard hat is that without them you'd never know they were there ![]() I noticed this morning whilst waiting for my doctors' appointment that no seats were available(everyone else there was waiting for blood tests), the self-service check in came up with the wrong name-I only realised later I had put in 5 for May as the month and not the date which should have been in my case, 24 but then when I did it a second time it said there was no record of an appointment-yet my Dad made it for me when he went to take in his prescription order on Monday!! I know these automated things are supposed to be labour-saving but I would much rather book in with the receptionist than a bloody machine!! Oh and btw my BP was 135/92 which means it had come down a bit but still have to take pills each day.

I was at the dentist this morning. So I decided to read a magazine; The Tatler (high society BS) yachting monthly; landscape gardening monthly; Irish bride monthly.
obviously my dentist lives on a different planet than the one i'm on. And he has a brand new Aston Martin in his parking space.
