"Got the file but miss the password" - collected requests and answers

If i find a post, and within, there is a reply with a thread link to another post on the forum, a click on that thread brings me to a box that tells me that i am not logged in and need to enter my username and password for that link to work. Is this a minor problem or is this normal. Everything else seems to work normally as i am already logged in and have access to all features on the forum, classic movies, premium section, etc. Please advise.

just re-enter the username and the pass
this happens when your cookies expire !

many months ago i downloaded a full movie with rar archives..
unfortunately i can't remember the password..

the archive name is dkpf.part1.rar

i've tryied to use the search form.. but there are no matches..

could someone help me?

In many cases I have problems opening downloaded files which are P/W protected.

This happens even when the P/W is correctly entered. But others work fine.

Particular problems if downloaded from Rapidshare

Example below, where file is downloaded but will not open

Make sure you use the password exactly as it is with the BIG and small letters:

VEFmagScanS!?

When that does not work then you likely have a older program that is not able to extract the password protected files correct.

You could try upgrade to following freeware 7-Zip: http://www.7-zip.org/

it can also happen with (a version of) winrar if you have set a default password in the software. by trying to unrar, the software then uses the default password to unlock the files..

Hello,
I made a mistake... I downloaded a loop today from this forum, and, not having a Rapidshare account actually, the download is very slow and so it takes long time.
The loop I've download have a password, and I cant find the thread anymore, I used a lot the search tool but nothing.

This is all I have (loop seems to be #5, and I rember it was composed by two RAR's):

Searching the history in your browser should turn up all vefs threads you've visited

if you pressed the thank-button you can find it under your userprofile and "show all statistics"
