Your first mag? - Page 15

I've just had the interesting experience of finding pictures from my first mag on Restoration210's excellent "Cream Cheese" site. It was Knave 13/6.

I'd already enjoyed a few black & white illustrations in an old sex education manual and some pages ripped out of Penthouse that had been passed around at school (and came, I now know, from vol.15 no.4). But this was the first mag that I ever bought.

It was the usual scenario: a hasty foray into a corner-shop after nervously walking around the block for half-an-hour waiting for it to be empty of other customers. I'd heard that the owner was not particular about the age of her customers for topshelf publications, but she looked pretty stern. I then had to smuggle my trophy home under my coat.

Needless to say (given my membership of VEF), I thought it all well worth it and became a regular customer. Even in 1981, I could not imagine deriving more intense satisfaction from any other way of spending 85p!

Of the seven sets in the mag, the one that really gripped me was this one of 'Marcella' (though I've no idea who she really is):

I notice three things:-

1. That 'futuristic' computer prop makes me conscious of my age.

2. What a lovely full bush! Whoever came up with the crazy idea that women look more attractive shaven?

3. Some tastes are formed early and don't change. My favourite shot in the set was the top-right on the third page. Compare my avatar!

I ethier came across 1978 Playboys(Pam Bryant,Janet Quist & Christina Smith, or Elite magazine(Moira) when I was 13 or 14.

The first one I remember was a GALLERY magazine that I found in my older brothers room.

My first mag was playboy, I was 16 and i found it while rummaging in my then boyfriends room! He thought i would have freaked out like a "typical female", but needless to say i didnt.....

I will always remember: The first magazin i bought had donna edmonson on the cover. It was the Playmate of the year edition in Summer 1987.
I saw the cover at a newsstand and decided to invest for the first time....

My first magazine, 50 yrs ago, was of the Spick and Span type. I was unceremoniously evicted from my lodging of the time for possession of same. My next landlady also discovered my little treasure, and likewise considered me to be perverted - which seemed to please her no end. I didn't stay to find out what she had in mind for me, suspecting her to be a dangerously polar opposite of landlady No1. Harmless enough now, but dynamite in 1962!

Haven't thought about this for years. First I paid for was Mayfair Volume 10 No 12 - December 1975. Got me completely hooked - Margrit Schwartzer and Elizabeth Johnson were spectacular. Led to a very misspent few years.

CC26, bought in Germany on one of the first days in 1975, when porn was legal here. Got it in a sexshop where you could watch porn clips mainly from CCC, when you have bought something for more than 10 DM.
