I've met a lot of the guys on the list and my opinion changed for the better every time.

Randy West: A pretty cool guy in real life but he is hit and miss in his scenes. (Some really good like when he was with Jenna Jameson or Tera Patrick, others sucked balls like Stacy Valentine.)

Marc Wallace: Total douchebag for practically committing premeditated murder ala John Holmes.

Paul Thomas is also a pretty cool guy to talk general industry stuff with. His scenes were also hit and miss when he was active but as a director he's top notch.

Mike Horner: Up there with John Leslie as one of my favorite people in the industry. A nice guy in person when I met him at a video session in Vegas. His scenes weren't ever great but the guy is one of the best actors in the business. (No scene he is in where acting is required sucks even if the people opposite him can't act worth shit.)

Jamie Gillis: See Mike but I haven't seen a sex scene he's in that is watchable in over 10 years.

Tom Byron: Depends on when you saw him in action or when you met him. I met him twice in the 90's. Once pre Rob Black, the second time when he was with Extreme. He was never very bright but at least before he got with Rob he was pretty cool. His scenes were worth watching when his main girls were Ginger or Amber Lynn but after he grew the hair out, got a goatee and the tats, it was over.

What about TONY ELAY? What was he doing in porn? That's another one who stunk up whatever scene he was in. It burns my ass that I spent money on a video and had to fast-forward through all that wasted tape to get to the next good clip.

so i dont necessaily hate them but i do think many should start being a little bit more like umpires/referees...seen but not heard

Some scenes do spring to mind as being ruined

Jack Baker should never, ever, had done porn. I think the first movie i saw him in was a non-sex role, so I kinda assumed that was his job (as most of you probably know, they had non-sex actors in the old days). Then I saw other movies with Baker doing scenes. OMG, I think I got ill. Like probably half the guys in the business (if not, more), this guy had no business being a porn star.

The more I read this the more dickless wonders come out of the woodwork (pardon the pun) I often, and I do mean often, wonder if I should have gone to the valley in the late 1980's I'm about the same age as Tom Byron, and could have done just as well as him.

I agree with the Leslie and Wallice comments; it still pisses me off at some level that Leslie boned my fave-Bridgette Monet, and he did play the role well at a slimeball, but you could tell she collected a fine paycheck for Talk Dirty to Me II. Of course, maybe neither were acting that much. Then, recently, I buy an old copy of an 80s mag and there is Bridgette in still shots (no film of this I'm sure) in a pictorial with Mark Wallace and of course, she only gets so close with the fake bj, doggy style-and he's not allowed to finger her or touch nipples.
