Why the assumption that the long-necked "dinosaur" depicted was a brontosaurus? Why not another sauropod? Why not one of the many already known which had long, slimmer heads? Ah ... but that wouldn't fit in with the theory that whoever carved it knew more than the scientists!

Interesting that the stones "accurately" depict the triceratops (late cretacious) and the stegosaurus (late jurassic), but then again, there's only about 80 million years between the two!

I love the "accurate" fine details such as the skin patterns which are used as proof ... while conveniently ignoring the herbivorous "brontosaurus" eating a bloke!

It's such a shame that the guy who discovered so many of these stones in a cave, never actually revealed the location of the cave! All that "evidence" just lying around!

Default Yogi Bear goes supersonic!

On the 21st March, 1962, Yogi Bear successfully ejected from a USAF B-58 bomber flying at an altitude of 35,000ft and a speed of 870mph. Yogi survived the supersonic ejection, and landed safely by parachute almost 8 minutes later.

The test was part of a programme aimed at developing an improved ejection system for the Convair B-58 Hustler supersonic bomber. Using a standard ejection seat at supersonic speeds, a crewmember was unlikely to survive due to severe wind blast and exposure effects, so the Stanley Aviation Corporation designed an encapsulated system in which clam-shell doors would close around the pilot or crewmember, and the sealed capsule would be pressurised before ejection. The whole capsule would then parachute to the ground.

Yogi was chosen for the first supersonic test as she was the same size and weight as a typical crewmember. In addition, a bear's internal organs are similar to those of a human. For the test, Yogi was drugged and strapped into the seat. Well, you try strapping a fully awake adult bear into an aircraft!

A couple of weeks later another bear, called Big John, successfully ejected from a B-58 flying at 45,000 ft and a speed of over 1000mph.

Columbo's first name is...

Drum roll...

Philip.

By now, everyone already knows that Morse's first name is Endeavour.

And, of course, Lewis's is.... (OK, drum roll...)

Lewis!

Did you know that(since we are on the subject of hidden names) QUINCY's name was never revealed as played by Jack Klugman-but in one episode a card is seen with Dr R Quincy on it. However other detective's names we did know were:
Frank CANNON
David STARSKY & Ken HUTCH(INSON)
Jim ROCKFORD(Rockford Files)
Tony PETROCELLI-(admitedly he was a lawyer)
Piet VAN DE VALK
Eddie SHOESTRING
Sam McCLOUD
Freddie SPENDER
Only SPENSER with Robert Urich doesn't have a name.
I am sure you can find others.

You didn't miss it, it was never revealed - but we know it started with an R, as a business card was once shown reading "R. Quincy." I think it also was seen on a door.
