Or are they no longer producing 100 watt light bulbs anymore ?, tried yesterday to find a couple but after checking out three super markets (I know, i have no life) found nothing except those wimpy 60 watt suckers and of course a couple dozen variations of those energy saving ones .That are so environmentally friendly if they break you have to evacuate your house for fear of mercury poisoning . Finally found some this afternoon at a corner jobbie (Literally) called the happy shopper but had to settle for those "Perl" kind, and the bastard serving was so miserable i thought for a second he was being ironic .Plus he was eating fish and chips while handling and giving out loose change , i kid you not !.
"Light bulbs " Grab em while you can , but not while they`re hot

100 Watt bulbs are getting rarer, I have a 100W energy saver overhead. It lights the room but is shit for reading with so I have a small lamp by the side of me. How's that for energy saving?

Think the service industry staff as a whole somehow held a secret ballot and decided to ease up on their previously high standards of courtesy and work ethic.
Which was bad enough already , but now they act as if you're ruining their lives by trying to make a purchase and so help keep the business that employs them going !

"Is it just me "
Or are postmen becoming right miserable useless bastards ? . Had two deliveries last week that wouldn't fit through the letter box ( Infrared scope for my sniper rifle and a drugged Lacey Chabert ) , so i had to listen for the gate as this sod knocks with all the power of a deflated balloon. Anyway so i listened and listened , and yes both times i never heard him knock and only found out he'd been by the red card on the floor . So i re-arranged for them to be delivered today (Which was a shame as Lacey had come to and escaped when i opened the crate) and sat near the door for two hours waiting for him. Meaning i was almost able to open the door on his first pathetic knock , and wouldn`t you know it but the #ucker had only started filling out the card !. Huh does he start writing up a "Sorry you were out card " even before he steps foot on the path ? , or is he just trying to mess with my delicate mind !!! Is the UK postal service worse than even Bombay`s now or what ? Somebody tell me i`m not alone , s o m e b o d y ??? (Typing weakly trails off) " But i wasn't damn you , i WASN'T ! "

Just going back to the TV and how the license payers' money is spent on brainless, inane crap ... how about those "Do You Want To Live In Some Foreign County?" programmes? Saw one today ... "Wanted Down Under". A couple of punters are flown to AUSTRALIA for a bloody holiday on the pretext of thinking of moving there! They THEN decide that (a) houses that are way beyond their budget are too expensive ... I kid you not! (b) you don't get paid the equivalent of £35,000 for working in a friggin chemist shop, and (c) some things can cost a lot! No shit Sherlock? Five minutes on the bloody internet and I could give you the cost of houses, the cost of living, and the price of a bloody ice cream any where in the world!
You know, I have a hankering to go and live in Monaco! I can afford £35 a week rent, want to be paid £100k a year for mowing lawns, and would like to be able to buy an ice cream for 2p. I feel a letter to the BBC coming on! |

Is it just me, or are there more sodding caravans on the roads, I was following/overtaking one on the M1 yesterday, I was flying allong and the bloody thing started swaying allover, I nearly shit myself. When I got past him, he was towing what must have been a 18' caravan with a bloody Ford Escort, Idiot!

The thing is mate, I prefer the kind of thread that you set up, it provokes more thought and discussion, I cannot stand the :- 'What do you use for the best wank? : reply, a 2lb hammer and a feather' I find all that stuff a bit creepy, thats why I like to see your threads running.
