One aspect of liberty is freedom of expression and other aspects of liberty are put at risk when freedom of expression is curtailed either by an autocrat or majority decision. There should be no censorship of any kind in any medium. If you support the silencing of others you risk being silenced yourself.

Max crossed a threshold that normal human beings find sick. He likes to dress his "girls" in prepubescent clothes and humiliate they by spitting choking and other unmentionable sick acts. If I am silenced by typing this I will be happy. I am a human being a male human being, and a female human being is an equal. Max treats females as unequals.

Obscene pornography has nothing to do with freedom of expression in any regard. In fact, that would be one of Max's attorney defending angles... naturally.

The fact that people make wealthies out of abusing human beings is even more sickening imho. I wouldn't miss that thread personally - the sooner is dropped the better.

Err - no. As monogroover said, not all porn is the same. Max Hardcore's stuff frankly borders on abuse of women, whereas other porn films (excluding the garbage that Rob Black insists on churning out) are clearly not abusive.

Take a look at the vintage stuff here on this board - that has nothing in common with Max Hardcore's crap.

Don't confuse an act with the representation of it.

One can be against the act of killing another human being while still being in favour of the freedom to represent it in word, image, sound, (touch, and taste).

Don't confuse apples with oranges.

The abuse of women is totally irrelevant to Arnold Schwarzenegger movies. Nobody has been abused/humiliated in a Hollywood set.

Sorry, but in my view that's an idealist, utopian pipedream that is simply not viable or realistic. Pragmatically, there do have to be boundaries. I'm sure that you disapprove of child pornography, for example. I know that disapproving and disallowing are critically different things, but don't you feel that it's better that some kinds of expression are subject to both?

In any case what Max does that attracts disapproval isn't "expression"; not really. It's a particular kind of entertainment that some people get off on, that he provides to make money. Nobody's stifling his opinion, or his right to a point of view.
