A simple change in the file's metadata is enough to change the checksum.
The easiest way to do this is as follows (windows only) :

open the file's folder via explorer
right click on the image file and select properties
open the "Details" tab
locate the "Comments" property and add a space to its value (or change a letter in an existing comment into a capital letter or vice versa).
click OK

In principle any of the text properties can be used not just the "Comments" property.

For multiple files just select them all in explorer and right click to select properties.
The change is then done for all selected files.

Default Pimp and Host appears to be down

It looks like the Pimp and Host image servers have gone down, but their Forums are still working.

Have posted an inquiry on their "Bugs" forum, and hope they will have the site up and running soon.

*****************

OK ..sorry about that; the problem does not lie with Pimp & Host.

It is beginning to look like I am having (i) a browser compatibility problem (64 bit versus 32 bit), or (ii) my Trend Mocro security application is blocking P & H (even though I have enrolled it as a "permitted" web-site).

P & H is the only site that thumbnails & images fail to download from, and my older 32 bit computer is still pulling everything down in good order. Time to start my 64 bit computer in Safe mode and begin the process of elimination.

********************
Final update ...
After 18 months of downloading thumbs and images from P & H, my Trend Micro internet security application suddenly began blocking P & H on Sept 23, 2012. I have added all the server addresses as "permitted" and everything is back to normal.

Thanks for the tip, Highwayman. Norton is also preventing me from opening any pimpandhost images. Can you, or anyone out there, give me step by step instructions on how to get my Security system to allow pimpandhost back in? I'm afraid I'm a bit of a technotard when it comes to this kind of stuff. TIA.

Sorry I can't help you with that as I'm not on Windows, but there's the Norton forum here where I'm sure you can search for an answer as always other people ask a similar question, it's usually pretty easy to unblock a site.

BTW, that technotard term gave me a good laugh

When Imagebam won't load a pic or 4 I just use Imagevenue for the ones Imagebam rejects. Imagevenue has it's own issues like randomly dropping (not loading) some images.

When one won't work, augment it with the other one. I am too impatient to try to figure out the whys of these problems.

As Buttsie says, all of the hosts are free so what do you expect for nothing.

UPDATE: The problem was my Cisco wireless router! When I unplugged it and plugged my computer into the hard wired router, problem solved! Pages load a hell of a lot faster also. Don't know why it all of a sudden decided to play traffic cop.

Has anybody had malware problems with Imagebam today?

I clicked on 3 pics earlier today and Avast blocked had to block and it's just happened again.

No but individual security software always have issues with Ads because they set their warnings to high

Theres been issues with Avast alone for the past 2 weeks on various forums
Theres mention of ImageBD.net & url:mal

Even when people post a link to the post in question no other security software registers any alarm

False positive in my book

In this case nobody will really know unless your post a direct link
- click on post number and then cut and paste the address -
for the individual post and point out which pics.
