I've had a similar problem with p'n'h, for maybe a month or so now.

I can upload 4-5 images, then the error messages pour forth. I find the only way to circumvent this is to -

"Insert All Images"

"Preview Post" - 1, 2 or three times in order to get the "Browse" button to re-appear.

And then it will allow you to upload another 4 -5 images.

I'd presumed that this was yet another short-term p'n'h glitch, but it seems not.

'Cos I've never found one that isn't shit to use, with an avalanche of pop-up's. And p'n'h is the default host of this site. That's why.

You can sign up for a premium account and be rid of the ads or you can put up with the ads that pay for your ability to share your stash and see all the wonderful pussy in everybody's stash for free. You always have a choice.

to get rid of popups it's generally recommended to use popup-blockers or plugins like noscript. you still can use imagebam or imagevenue for free, and there are no popups at all..

In response to recent uploading problems with P & H, I have registered with Imagevenue and uploaded a couple of short posts to VEF. It all went well (much faster than P & H)l, but I am a bit concerned about uploading too many files because of their 1 year image retention limit. If I understand their FAQ's, any images that are not accessed at least once every 12 months will automatically be deleted from their servers.

I don't want my VEF thumbnail posts to go "dead" after 12 months, and wonder how other members handle this issue. Do you have to go into your Imagevenue folders and click on each image on an annual basis, or just keep copies on your hard drive to facilitate re-up?

If no one clicks on my IV links or downloads them at least once a year, then no one will care if they go dead.

Question

I've recently been having enormous trouble uploading certain images on imagevenue that easily meet their criteria. I've successfully uploaded such images with that service in the past.

The images are jpg.
Dimensions are 1221 X 1746
They are well below the 3 MB limit, 2.2 MB to be exact.

When I tried to upload images in that size range that I'd successfully uploaded in the recent past I'm no longer able to do so.

I cannot upload the image individually and when I try to do so with smaller images, half the size, they do show up but the bigger image does not.

Trying to upload the image individually, it gets to the screen that says "Upload complete! 1 files (2, 16 Mb/2, 16 Mb), Elapsed time: 00:00:43" but forever stays "Connecting" without any generation of a thumbnail or code. This occurs in both Firefox and Internet Explorer.

When I tried Basic Upload, I got this message, again with both browsers:

"Host Another File
We can not store this type of file!
Please refer to FAQ section for file formats."

I went back and tried to reupload images of the aforementioned specifications, that I had successfully uploaded in the past, and ran into to the same problems plaguing me now.

In frustration, I turned to imagebam and successfully uploaded the 2.2 MB image in question within seconds!

But I would appreciate it if anyone could offer advice on what the problem is with imagevenue.

What is the complete file name? Does it end with .jpg or with .jpeg?

In the "Details" box of my folder it is listed as a "JPEG Image." However, when I select for upload it is automatically designated as ".jpg" in the box.

When I manually change the name to MWclubJul89-04.jpg, it will add to the list and get to the "Connecting" stage but, as I mentioned before, without generating a thumb or code.

When I try to change the name to MWclubJul89-04.jpeg it won't even add to the list but will give this error message: "File not found. Please verify the correct file name was given."

Of note, it says "Image Types Allowed: jpeg, jpg"

I think the issue is the size as I just successfully uploaded smaller images (1 MB) although that doesn't explain why I could upload larger ones (2 MB) before and why a 2 MB file won't go through even though it is well below the 3 MB limit.
