Problems with Imagehosts - Imagebam, Imagevenue, PimpAndHost, (...) - Page 4

I recently had my laptop in the shop. Before it went I was able to load (slowly, mind you, as I have dial-up) as many pics as I was able to the above service, but now I can maybe do two (small ones) at a time, otherwise it just doesn't respond.
This is a royal pain, as I'm seeing many pics I'd like to share, but it's nearly impossible to do so. Anyone have any thoughts (or tweaks)?

I don't have those problems but you say you are still on dail-up.

Isn't it a option to switch to cable or adsl its most likely going to be cheaper then dail-up when it comes to the bills a ethernet card isn't expensive and oft can be build in to your system also your ISP probably will offer adsl so that you can keep your e-mail adresses etc. I never regretted switching to adsl when it became available.

Yes, if you have access to high speed and it's in your budget, get it! You don't know what you're missing!

High speed isn't an option right now, but I did get the bright idea to try a different pic-host

. So far, 'ImageFap' is working out.

Good to hear that ImageFap works for you Bungle we don't want to miss your contributions

ImageVenue has it ups and downs ... perhaps where you live the connectivity to their service is just poor atm.

Is pimphost having problems again or is it just me?

Last couple of days the thumbnails have been there but all have led to an extremely slow openeing page which inevitably times out

If you read back through the thread you'll see the common theme of pimphost having server problems.Probably explains both our problems AGAIN

Best to use the far more reliable hosts like imageavenue or imagebam as many suggest

Probably a stupid one, but how come I can't see the images people have posted? I registered with them this week, but on clicking, get just the various image tag options page.

Could be there is something wrong with the website, or maybe it is updating itself-I would also advise you to check your machine to make sure your connection is okay too. Hope that helps you.

Thanks, but all other linked-to sites are fine and dandy.
This is what I get, sometimes just a page displaying the
embedding image tags. Weird.
