Sonja Morgan (b. as Sonja Tremont) was born in Albany, NY, where she met and married into the Morgan banking family .... it was a love match, with the 33 yr gap between her and her husband of no concern, and money no object .... well until 2006 when he served her with divorce papers, when suddenly money was an object again.

Which may explain why in 2010, she joined season three of the reality TV show 'The Real Housewives of New York City' on the Bravo cable TV network .... she is still appearing in it. After the divorce, she was reported as working on a film screenplay that she describes as "a Candace Bushnell society novel".

According to the New York press she had agreed to finance a motion picture in 2006, but pulled out at the last minute, because she had just been served with divorce papers. As a result, a federal jury in California awarded the production company $7.06 million in damages in September 2009 ... which didn't help matters.

It was reported that some her antics on the TV show were too rude for the producers, who were forced to censor the show. On a filmed vacation in St Barts in the Caribbean, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer's behaviour got out of hand, with an insider telling the New York Daily News:'Sonja [Morgan] was straddling cameras naked.'

In 2011 she filed for a bankruptcy of over $19 million and started battling in court over a $3m settlement with her millionaire 80-year-old husband .... he apparently believes the divorce judge forced him to pay more than was agreed in pre and post-nuptial agreements. She faces losing her $6m New York mansion in this fight.

In June 2010, she was arrested for DUI - she was busted for drunk driving early on Memorial Day morning while driving a 2006 BMW. She told the police that she had drunk two glasses of wine at a party, and was heading to the home of a friend in Water Mill where she was staying. She apparently failed all field sobriety tests, including the gaze exam, the one-leg stand, the walk and turn and an alphabet quiz and was taken to the police station.

However roughly 90 minutes later when questioned at police headquarters, she changed her story and said that she drank just a single martini at the Southampton party. She had refused to take a Breathalyzer test, and was hit with a DUI charge and to which was added charges for failing to stop at a stop sign, failing to stay in her lane and not wearing a seat belt. She was released on her own recognizance to attend court later ...

Cheerleader 'scandals' are a bit of a grey area for this thread .... as, outside of North America, Cheerleaders are not even minor 'celebrities'. However when they pass the basic rules (i.e. minor celebs who gain notoriety in their national or international stages), they are popular posts. So I have trawled the www for the most salacious (only involving nudity ), and to be truthful (after a second review of the evidence), this is the only qualifier (not counting those girls already here) - the rest may feature some inappropriate pictures, but no celebrity outside of being cheerleaders, and the other crimes (if such they are) are merely bad behaviour at school .... they just don't cut the mustard.

So 'Grace' to 'disgrace' cheerleader award winner is Courtney Cox aka Courtney Simpson was born in Mesa, Arizona, and raised in a strict and devout Mormon family .... (that's the 'grace' benchmark ). She was a skilled gymnast and went on to win a national bar competition in the USA. She then went to further education on a full academic scholarship at Arizona State University. Not unnaturally, given her gymnast skills, she was offered a role on the cheerleading squad .... things started going down hill from there. She had apparently intended to stay a virgin until marriage, but surrounded by girls who were not generally of that state of mind, she seemingly found herself talking about sex to her friends on the 'Arizona State Sun Devils' cheerleading squad. She became known as “Triple X” by the team because she would always be talking about sex ..... she reportedly first had sex in October of her freshman year, at the age of 18 .... talk about a duck to water .... There are two versions of what happened next ....

Version 1 - 'The Arizona Republic' : Her parents, discovering her sexual activities, and that she had been kicked off the cheerleading squad in the spring of 2005 (for undisclosed reasons), tried to curb her lifestyle by depriving her of their financial support, so she decided to work to pay her bills. She answered a newspaper ad for a nude modeling assignment and filmed her first segment for an adult website shortly thereafter .... Amat*reall*re.com. 'Grace' ..... or

Version 2 - other web reports: To say she enjoyed sex was an understatement .... seeing some Arizona advertisements for 'nude models', she responded, and was first featured in photos on the 'Amate*r All*re web site' as 'Grace', having sex and performing 'oral sex', then later, on her own web site, under the name 'Cory Heart'. A chance meeting with pornographic actress Nicole Brazzle in an airport in Las Vegas, in January 2005, led her into 'the movies' and a full blown porn film career ...

The Amat*re all*re copyright is 2004 - before she was expelled from the Cheerleading squad - She started the web film stuff while cheerleading, and the DVD film porn after being expelled from the squad, after meeting Nicole Brazzle and before her leaving ASU .... Under normal circumstances her chosen profession would exclude her from this thread (Porn Stars, are not disgraced minor celebs) ... but, the cheerleading squad and university classes, and double life are where the disgrace occurs.

As our heroine was still turning out for the squad (as well taking classes), all the while performing for porn photographers and film cameras, it was only a matter of time. The scandal broke after someone left a stack of her pornographic photos at the front door of the house where she still lived with her parents. In most reports she was expelled or already expelled from the cheerleading squad, and now also forced to leave Arizona State University, and moved to California to perform in pornographic films full-time. Her parents did not approve of her career ....

However the controversy didn't end just then, because she still had her ASU cheerleading uniform (pity to waste it), so she appeared in a porno movie ('Gina Lynn’s Double Dutch'), wearing her ASU cheerleader uniform, which she also wore on the video's box cover. ASU lawyers got involved and there was talk of ASU suing over the video box cover .... the distributors changed the cover uniform from ASU to USA (by reversing the image), and legal action went away. However, she does wear the ASU uniform in the actual movie (although they said they tried to block it out .... see below).

All this attracted much US and international press coverage, and the 'The Arizona Republic' published an article criticizing her for wearing a real ASU cheerleading uniform while filming, all of which ASU detested, but actually helped Ms Simpson make good money in a short career. She went on to appear in 250 pornos in all. In September 2006, Simpson announced she would no longer be performing heterosexual scenes on film, to give her more time to go back to college and get her degree (not at ASU). By 2007, she was no longer shooting any new material and had completely retired from pornography ..... However, Simpson began performing again in adult movies a year or so later, before eventually retiring a second and apparently final time in 2010. In May 2006, Simpson bought a house in Arizona with her film earnings.

This is not a green light for all cheerleader stories (which is a thread in itself), because, as mentioned earlier, most of them are peculiarly American issues, and so are just not noteworthy outside of that continent. All girls still need to pass the basic rules to feature here. Better still, 'Cheerleaders Gone Bad' is a perfect title for a new thread, if anyone wants to start it.

Sole Sanchez Mohamed is a Spanish political candidate from Ciutadella, which in her electoral material "is a poor village" in Menorca, the big island in Spains’s Balearic Isles. She wanted to help her people (although with that surname, the family was obviously not always native), so she campaigned in the local elections .

However her campaign hit the buffers when a campaign poster she put up stated that she had "two big arguments" ... unfortunately, it included two big breasts being cupped lovingly ..... they seem to be hers.

Her opponents 'The Esquerra de Menorca' party (EM-EU, leftists) filed a complaint at the 'Institut de la Dona' (Institute of Women) for the “sexist use” of the breasts ...... it appears that the 'wimmin' of the left don't show their breasts

The images and the complaint brought much publicity in Spain and so undeterred Ms Mohamed issued another photo of her herself .... tied up (which may have been some sort of comment on her posters being taken down), but rather oddly the photo showed her in lingerie, in what looks like a S&M allusion.

Crystal McCahill was born in River Forest, Illinois, USA and has six brothers and sisters. Her mother, Gale Olson, is a former model, so perhaps its no surprise that she started her road to the bottom rung in the usual manner, by competing in beauty pageants from the age of nine. All it got her was a job at a Hooters restaurant ...... then came her big break,

She was 'discovered' (or was that uncovered), by Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt (both 'stars' of the reality TV series 'The Girls Next Door'). McCahill was given a shot at the 55th Anniversary Pl*yboy Playmate Contest where she was a finalist in 2009 (She lost out to Dasha Astafieva). She was also a Pl*yboy Playmate of the Month in the May, 2009 issue .... She has appeared as herself on several episodes of Season 5 of the 'E!' reality TV series 'The Girls Next Door'. She is currently signed to GA agency for her modeling career.

On January 7 2009, McCahill was arrested by Chicago police after driving under the influence. She was pulled over for running a red light in downtown Chicago, and the officer noticed the signs of inebriation. The arresting officer claimed McCahill suffered from stammered speech, reeked of booze, and had a glazed look in her eye .... she was breathalysed and was found to be twice the legal limit.

McCahill claimed she had consumed just three shots upon getting off from her job at a local nightclub ..... she was charged and was scheduled to make an appearance in front of a Cook County, Illinois judge on March 19, 2009 .... verdict unknown.

Pamela Sue Martin, was born and raised in Connecticut USA, she began modeling at 17, before she graduated from Staples High School in February 1971 and signed with a New York modeling agency. She gradually got into doing television commercials. She then moved into movies and her movie career peaked early, with a role in the 'The Poseidon Adventure' in 1972. She got the acting bug and appeared in TV shows as well with perhaps her biggest success in a long run in 'Nancy Drew Mysteries / 'The Hardy Boys' between 1977, and 1978 followed by a spell in 'Dynasty' between 1981–1984.

She is still performing today with a last film in 2010 and she owns a theatre company in Idaho. She is divorced three times, and the mother of one son.

Pretty minor faux pas in this post (but I'm sure you'll not mind this one slight lowering of the bar, just this once ). Whilst she was still in the "Nancy Drew" show, she appeared nude in a cover-featured pictorial in the July 1978 issue of Pl*yboy magazine. Strangely the 'The Hardy Boys' show was cancelled in 1978 as well.

She'd quit Dynasty after saying the 'Fallon' role did not stretch her as an actress (turning down $700,000 to reprise the role), and she talked her wealthy second husband into backing her self written, and self starring role in 'Torchlight' (a movie about drug abuse ), which was a critical success at the Cannes film festival, but bombed at the US box office. This reaction may have been because when it previewed in Los Angeles, the movie caused a storm of controversy, as they distributed an 18-page 'press kit', which included a photograph of cocaine free-basing paraphernalia, and explicit instructions on how to free-base (a mixture of cocaine and alcohol).

.... its failure cost her husband over $2m (1985's money), and she left him. He was obviously fairly pissed by this sudden demise of the marriage, and told the press. "Talk to Pamela. She seems to be the one handling this thing. I'm not going to say a thing."

• She appeared in the original film version of The Poseidon Adventure (opposite Gene Hackman) at the age of 19.
• Martin took time out of her senior year in high school to play the lead role in the film To Find a Man (1972).

Whenever I am stuck, I can always rely of the beauty pageants to help out ... so here's a couple with an Asian slant

Kim Hoang Tong was the daughter of refugee's and a member of one of the largest Vietnamese community in the US in North California in 2004. She was training to become a to be a dental hygienist .... so her family was no doubt immensely pleased when she entered and won the title of 'Miss Vietnam of Northern California', despite not entering the swimsuit section. She received $2,000 in cash and $3,000 in prizes along with her title.

He oops was swift, the organisers soon found out that she had committed one of the |beauty queen 'No No's' and stripped for the cameras after receiving an anonymous tip about Tong's past via e-mail, and phoned her father to tell him the news. Apparently in 2002, before she started school at De Anza College, Tong decided to pose nude for an adult website because she needed money. Her mistake was that she apparently using the cunning disguise of 'Kim Tong' to pose in some fairly restrained nude shots.

However in the very conservative community in which she lived, this brought a shocked reaction and she was forced to admit this at a news conference, when she resigned her crown, as tears streamed down her face. Her story was that when she was 19, she left home in fear of confronting her parents about her job at a tattoo parlor. She stayed with a friend for three months and, in need of money, posed for the 'Images from asia' adult Web site for $400.

In a strange postscript, it appears that her father succeeded in having the pictures removed from the website (for a fee of course), as they no longer feature there .... but the webs the web, and nothing really dies, so the pics are out there on forums, and preview pages can be reconstructed ....

Vo Thi My Xuan is a Vietnamese girl born post the civil war, and war with USA. Vietnam, while still a tough place has modernised and this includes holding beauty pageants, which are big things on TV and for the girls involved. So just like in the West its seen as a step towards 'celebdom' if a girl has some success in these contests. Miss Xuan entered and won the 'Miss South Mekong' title in 2009, but sadly that was as far her 'celebdom' went .... she modelled lingerie and swimwear ... but as we have observed before on this thread "A girls gotta eat" .....

So here we are in 2012 and the police crack a vice ring ..... police conducted surprise raids on two big hotels in the city center, and caught four high-class prostitutes having sex with their wealthy clients. The four were identified as a 20-year-old actress, model, and lounge singer; a 23-year-old model; a 20-year-old beauty queen from Ben Tre province; and 25-year-old first-year student at a college in Ho Chi Minh City.

From these girls, the rings organisers were identified and Miss My Xuan was arrested and admitted to procuring "beauties, hot girls, and actresses" for well-off clients doing business with her sex and prostitution ring Apparently My Xuan was persuaded to sell herself for the first time by another actress and in a recent transaction, the actress offered My Xuan just “US$2,500 for a deal” with a man in Vung Tau city, from which she took $1,000 as a fee for a broker.

Now Vietnam is not renowned for its tolerance in these matters (well getting caught at it anyway) as Singer/Actress Dinh Thoai Yen Vy can attest, so Miss My Xuan can expect a tough time. Particularly as the whole episode reportedly attracted the attention of the international press: According to the Viet websites, media outlets such as MSN News, Times Live, Tengri News, 21 CN in China, the BBC in the UK, VOA (Voice of America), and Singapore’s Straits Time, among many others ran the story and have sealed Miss My Xuans fate.

Trivia:

• Another of the 'ladies' arrested, actress Tran Thi H, who is believed to be another of the ring’s pimps, has been released on bail due to late-term pregnancy.
• Another suspected pimp is a 26-year-old model-cum-actress who lives in Binh Thanh district. She won second place in a beauty contest and starred in the action movie 'Lenh Xoa So', one of 12 nominees for the 'Golden Kite' 2011.

Miss von Zitzewitz stems from an old aristocratic family (first mentioned in documents in 1345). She worked as a model, and became Miss Germany in 1967. The Wikipedia page mentions that after her modelling career she had problems with drug addiction, as well as financially. The article above indeed reports that she had been arrested for drug-trafficking. She died in 2006 of cancer.

Later in the 1970s she wrote a large article in German Playboy about Germany's emerging porn movie scene.
