Origins of phrases pt2:
The phrase "going doolally" meaning to go mad, also has it's origins in the military. The Indian garrison town of Deolali was where soldiers waited to be taken back to Britain after touring the country, often for many months. THere was little to do to keep them entertained and many suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder.

Billy Fiske is also (until 1992) was the youngest Olympic gold medal winner, at the tender age of 16. 1928 winter olympic's. I have visited his grave every year for the last 3 years on his birthday (4th of june) to pay my respects to this brave young fellow.

This is an odd thing. Did you know that the Aussie soap 'Neighbours' has spawned at least 4 Hollywood stars and numerous singers that have made it big here.
Russell Crowe(Kenny Larkin) - (Robin Hood, Gladiator), Guy Pearce (Mike Henry) - (Memento, Iron Man 3), Alan Dale (Jim Robinson) - (The West Wing tv series , Avengers Assemble, Captain America), Margot Robbie(hot as anything in The Wolf of Wall Street and that recent hustler film with Will Smith) and Dichen Lachman (Agent's Of S.H.I.E.L.D- Season 2) Add to that Kylie Minogue(Charlene), Jason Donovan(Scott Robinson), Natalie Imbruglia(Beth), Delta Goodrem and Craig McLachlan(Henry) as singers who have had pop chart success and that is pretty good going for soap opera stars. Kylie & Jason once starred in 'The Hendersons' tv series and Craig McLachlan starred in a high-tech spy drama here called 'BUGS.' I've added the names I remember, I didn't use IMDB for reference, this was all off the top of head, as it were
