the problem I see with this point is that people seem to think that black Americans looking for reparations just for slavery and it goes a lot deeper than that as I said in the first post you got a lot of things that happened after slavery that Black America has problems with redlining, drug wars the list is longer than you imagine in the transgressions continue two current day in the way things are going you're going to have groups like Latinos, East Asians, in Middle easterners joining the list.

I remember telling my parents that the US shouldn't pay respirations to Japanese Americans who had been interned during WWII because if the US had to pay everyone who they screwed over, we would be one broke ass country. After that, they basically treated me as a child who should be seen and not heard for a short time frame.

The way things are going it is going to be some coalition of the groups listed at the end in coalitions with white folks running things within a couple of generations if the United States remains intact. Black folk are going to have to find a way to make their communities work with few resources and in the face of continuing repression and discrimination or find themselves still on the bottom a 150 years hence.

I am seeing Internet posts saying that the United States government should also pay reparations to Native Americans. It reminds me of the dictum that "a right is a meaningless concept without the means to enforce it." You don't suppose that Putin is in any hurry to make reparations to the descendants of the Crimean Tatars who were forcibly relocated by Stalin after World War I, do you?
