Congragulations !
I know exactly how you feel, I'm a Wolves fan and we had administration, relegation, more relegations and yet more relegations, so winning the Sherpa Van Trophy in 1988 was sweet. it had only been 8 years since winning the League Cup at Wembley but with all that had gone on it felt like 80 !

what annoys me in football is that clubs are on the brink or extinction or they are facing administration sometimes for less than someone like john terry's monthly wage. There must be something football as a sport can do to spread the wealth a little better, or at least create some sort of pot to help clubs. no one likes to see football clubs go out of business, not the players, not the staff and not the fans. I know the premier league is now a separate entity to the football league in terms of finance, but surely the FA can at least try to get a pot going to support teams in trouble.

I'm afraid to think of how they will behave defenders with Messi after the show yesterday. Saturday we play the classic against R.Madrid in Bernabeu, and now the Madrid's press only plays about how to step them. He don't refuse violence.
I know this is unthinkable in UK League, but not in our "BBVA-La Liga". I remember Goikoetxea cracking the Maradona's leg, and after beeing National teal coach. "Spain is different"

Salut !

WELCOME mate! ... first Saints fan on here I think (but I stand corrected) ... I'll add you to the list when I get a mo. Watched the Final last week, and Saints were quite impressive. I'm a Forest fan (an old one!) and can remember going to the Dell many moons ago on a bloody 'hot hot' day. Think there were about 21,000 in the ground and people were fainting all over the place. It was dangerous though, we were packed in like Sardines and I was only a kid.
Welcome again ... keep posting your views on your team and others ...

yeah i expect that the Madrid players will have instructions from Pellegrini to do whatever it takes to stop Messi. After all his job could well depend on if Madrid win the league or not. However knowing Perez even if Madrid were able to snatch the league he may not be safe. Barca will be bouyant now though, winning last weekend quite easy, destroying Arsenal in the Champs League. I think Madrid will have to be at the top of their game to beat Barca and I have a feeling that they are not going to be. I expect to see a draw, maybe 1-1 or 2-2 which would be a good result if it came down to head to head for the title, as Barca would be ahead.

I agree. The feeling around here is that the "merengue" would sign a draw right now. It seems, press comments, which breathes fear from the first half in the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal, increased for the Messi's match.

I think last night ARsenal scored at the wrong time, it just fired up Messi and Barca. It would have been interesting if Diaby has played the ball to walcott instead of bendtner because Arsenal could have gone 2-0 up. Football is like that sometimes though, you pay for mistakes. The funny thing is Barca won last night easily in the end, but in my opinion they didnt actually play as well as they did last week. I think they played much better last week and got the draw. This week they played well, but not as good, and they won 4-1. Football is a very strange game soemtimes.

Just out of curiosity, speaking as someone who's going to be neutral tonight.
How many Englishmen/Brits will actually be supporting Man. Utd against Bayern tonight?

I am an Englishman but I support Barcelona and have done since around 1986. Tonight I would support an English side, but I cant bring myself to support United. I just dont like how Fergie or their fans blame everyhting but their side when they lose.
