Been going to live music for over 25 years now (eek!), first ever gig was Genesis at Wembley in 1985ish. Don't have that ticket any more. There's way too many to list, so I'll just mention the two most recent gigs, both last year:

Suzanne Vega at Cardiff - over 20 years since I last saw her perform and while the audience was much smaller now that it was then, she still sings as well as ever and I do like her percussive style of playing. She engages with the audience (particularly enjoyed the viking funeral story behind 'Tombstone'), played 'Some Journey' and a few other of my favourites, so I went home happy . (I do still have the ticket, but it's not scanned into the computer)

Hampshire Jam 9 at Liphook - the ninth and final HJ concert and the only one I managed to get to. The big draw for me was the headline act, Redshift. I'd seen Mark Shreeve once before, in Sheffield at UK electronica '90, but that was long before he got the IIIC and formed Redshift. It dominates the stage, literally with its physical presence, standing almost 8' tall and audiably as well once the sequences start up. Just awesome, so glad I finally managed to get to one. There's a youtube link to the opening few minutes that I posted in the synths, midi and FX topic shortly after the gig. No ticket for that one, they checked names off a list on the door(!)

I never bothered keeping my old tickets. Most of the early ones were just the theatre's own with no band name. Others got lost when I moved.
I did, however, manage to find some of my old badges.

Here's 4 possessions I can't and wont part with, ever.

The tour book from John Mellencamps 1988 Lonesome Jubilee tour, amongst the best concert tours I've seen, went on all 3 nights he was in Melbourne for that tour

The tour book from Bruce Springsteens 1997 Ghost Of Tom Joad Solo Acoustic tour, and my prize possession, After the concert most of the audience had left, a group of about 20 fans, me included, stayed around the stage. Bruce came out for a chat and I had this signed by The Boss, that's one experience this fan will never forget.

And the tour book from Bruce Springsteens 2003 The Rising tour, he played in Melbourne just hours after The US invaded Iraq, Bruce was an angry man that night, the concert started without the band, just Bruce playing a blazing and angry acoustic version of "Born In The U.S.A", when the song finished the lights too the stage came on an the rest of the band burst into the Edwin Starr song "War"

The first concert that I saw was a perfect circle when I was 15. I was in the pit and this girl kept on rubbing her butt against my crotch, so I had a pretty good time.

My first show was KISS in 1982 on the Creatures Of The Night tour in Huntsville, AL. I told my basketball coach I had a doctor's appointment and skipped practice. Me and two friends from school and my cousin went to the concert. It was all over school the next day that we had went. Normally it might not have been that big of a deal but I went to a church school and KISS was Knights In Satan's Service to them. But I didn't care.

All my ticket stubs are in the storage shed across town but I've been to probably 30 or more concerts over the years. I've seen KISS the most with about 10 or so shows and then Metallica next with about 6 to 8 shows.

It's ironic that I found this thread today because I am going to see Judas Priest on their final tour in Biloxi, MS this Saturday and my ticket arrived today. I'm very excited.

Default Iron Maiden

I have only seen Iron Maiden four time but it always was top notch.
The Ed Hunter Tour
Bruce Dickinson's and Adrian Smith's return to Iron Maiden
Maiden show 21 July 1999 was Iron Maiden/Clutch/Monster Magnet
Maiden was great,I hate Clutch and Monster Magnet really rocked hard.Again Clutch sucks!

The Virtual XI Tour
Maiden show 02 July 1998 was Iron Maiden/Dio/Dirty Deeds
Iron Maiden gave standard awesome show Blaze Bayley's vocals were very good. This was the second and the last tour Blaze would do with Iron Maiden.Bruce Dickinson returned touring with Maiden the following year.I was lucky to see this tour because It was the sixth show of the North American tour and Iron maiden only played 18 performances the time out.The remainder were canceled.Dio brought it as usual, not a bad song in the show. What a performer and a band the were the best of that concert.

Brave New World tour
Maiden show 11 Aug 2000 was Iron Maiden/Queensryche/Halford
Unbelievable day Rob Halford,Bruce Dickinson and Geoff Tate how could it get any better?

Dance Of Death tour
Maiden show 05 Aug 2003 was Iron maiden/Dio/Motorhead
Another complete ass kickin' show.If you have ever heard Ronnie James Dio sing live. The you know what I'm talking about.Lemmy and the boys gave on super show as well.Iron Maiden,Well their Iron Maiden! Could always do without Brucey's childish rants but still a great show.

Thanks!!

Yeah Priest is enough on their own but to also have BLS and Thin Lizzy also, this should be amazing.

It's about a 7 hour trip one way but I figured I had to see Priest one last time. Just wish KK was still with them but Ritchie is sounding amazing.

Christmas on Earth 1967.

Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Soft Machine, Traffic, Animals and many others.

The best all-night gig I've ever attended.

Nothing has even come close since then!
