Kaspersky security company
Seems Kaspersky security company is under pressure from the US about Russian intelligence connections. Kaspersky is Russian based but the CEO has stated he will show the US government the company's source codes to prove there is none.
I have used Kaspersky for several years and am very happy with it. Since they are Russian based maybe that is why I have so few incursions since they may have an edge against the multitude of Russian based hackers. |

Yeah I use Kaspersky too and I likewise am very happy with it's performance. I also use their Secure Connection to not be where I am. Currently I'm in Edison NJ and it's 3:33 this morning.

So is their internet security back to being light touch on a persons system again ?. If the case might switch , as before things turned wanky did rate Kaspersky. Although only like buying physical discs. Can't be doing with that download malarkey.

'Fraid not. It still has all the finesse of an elephant in gumboots. I only use it on particular sites and where I don't want the internet plod kicking my door down in the middle of the night.

Along with MalwareBytes I just use Kaspersky. After initial boot up I haven't noticed any slowing when I am online. Even here.

I`ll stay with Bitdefender`s total security package again then. Unless they've stopped providing a disc to buy and it`s that bloody code cobblers. Mean as far as I know they`re doing a fine job. It`s just they`d be more bearable without such squashed snail slowness of a thorough scan , and their constant pop up adverts to upgrade to the latest model. Which wouldn't be so bad only the sods began urging me to upgrade from day one. When I couldn't even if I`d wanted to as already had

Currently i'm using the trial version of K.I.S 2017. It expires in 18 days. Isn't too bad on performance. I was getting sick of Microsoft Security Essentials earlier update defs getting stuck in a loop and hanging the install of the latest ones. Apparently if you go into regedit you can do something to Kaspersky so you don't have to parp and clart reinstalling the trial version again. Sounds to good to be true i.m.o.

Call me a cynic but this is just Trump with another smokescreen with his Russian connection
Hes sacked anyone whose looked into it and now hes waving the flag kaspersky is like most others except for as i seem to recall it didnt like having any other security software on the same platform when i trialled it - that includes online scans Their free scan uses the full database & heuristics - good 2nd option Promises the world but cant save the naive It computer user from their own lack of know how You can undermine the best security suite with nothing more than letting any software on your PC become outdated There was one guy recently who went to a malware forum and they discovered he'd been surfing around with 2 versions of adobe flash - 1 was out dated by 6 months that was being actively exploited online for all that time. According to this site kaspersky is one of only 5 that came back with 0 false positives in a real world protection test for paid products 7/2017 https://www.av-comparatives.org/ Free security software can be as good if your online behaviour is wise but the margin for error is very very small. A lot now seem to lease the signature databases from the well known http://www.techsupportalert.com/best...s-software.htm Last edited by buttsie; September 3rd, 2017 at 12:35 AM.. I used Kaspersky until 2015. No problems with running on my systems at all and very effective. Just switched to Bullguard on a pure whim.
I just think that anything Russian now seems to trigger a conditioned reflex in much of the American media as being somehow dangerous and a possible threat. I was only reading an ESPN article on Kirill Kaprizov of CSKA Moscow a Minnesota Wild draft pick. Going by the gist of the article one would think young Kirill (best forward at the IIHF u20 World Championships) was being held against his will at the club. When in reality he is earning more than an entry level contract with the Wild and doing his career a whole of good by playing minutes going along a Panarin like route. |
