23 November 1963 to 25 December 2017, sacrificed on the altar of identity politics. The show is dead to me, but my DVD's live on

If you can re-up dead links please consider adding this to your signature. It helps when looking at reports of dead posts.

Please PM me re any dead images although it is likely if it is outside Celebs I may no longer have the content

Default Patricia Medina in "Abbott and Costello in the Foreign Legion"

This video contains all of Patricia's scenes from the film Abbott and Costello in the Foreign Legion from 1950. I'll keep posting these cut-down versions of her movies as I make them. I do not own this film.

Default Do Get Familiar With the Mecca That Is Medina

.

Now this lady was sexy. I'm here as an afterthought, after preparing a post for another actress, who appeared in the same 1965 "The Foxes and Hounds Affair" episode of The Man from U.N.C.L.E.; Patricia Medina played a ruthless THRUSH agent, while giving a great performance, additionally offering mammaries that almost certainly must have inspired Bob Hope's famed "Thanks" theme song.

Patricia came from English and Spanish stock, the latter accounting for her somewhat exotic look. She certainly had prominent eyes. The curvy actress was forty-six at the time of this episode, and she did not shy away from showing herself off in the form-fitting dress you see.

Patricia was a bonafide movie star, getting her start in 1937. Around 1960, she understandably concentrated on television work, with her leading lady days mostly behind her. She hung it up in 1973, and lived a long life (until age ninety-two) before departing in 2012.

One of her leading lady parts was as a gambling queen in 1955's Duel on the Mississippi. Lex Barker was the he-man.

For one who was so prolific, I'm surprised about being unfamiliar with her. She appeared in some (to me) milestone movies, as with 1956's The Beast of Hollow Mountain. The woman who was lucky Joseph Cotten's wife in real life also appeared in two of the best episodes of Boris Karloff's Thriller. Since Patricia has a distinctive face, I recalled her (while creating this post) from one of these episodes, 1961's "The Premature Burial" (one of the few episodes of the show featuring Karloff in an acting role), and she was very effective, and definitely made an impression.

She played the evil queen (and the witch) in 1961's Snow White and the Three Stooges.
