I came across this in the forum section of Nina Hartley's site...

Question from poster (12/30/07):
Nina, I just finished watching your premiere in "Educating Nina". Hard to believe that was made in 1984.
I was wondering if you had any idea where Lili Marlene was now and what she was doing?
She is one of my favorites from BITD (Back In The Day) and it's really hard to find any of her stuff.
Any help you could give would be appreciated.

Ah, Lili Marlene. Now, there was a hot woman! I loved her a lot. She had a beautiful, responsive pussy and always came for real.

Sigh.

She developed a drug problem, as her husband was a user, and abruptly retired in about '87, both to save her life and to take advantage of the GI bill and go to college. I think '87 was the last year she could have done so. She left him, and the business, cold turkey and that was that for that.

She moved back home to Ohio and cut off contact with anyone from the business. I tried sending a letter a couple of times, but got no answer. I was sad, but I do understand how one must sometimes cut off contact completely with things or people whom one feels are dangerous to one's sobriety.

I hope she is well and happy. I think of her every so often and wonder how she's doing.

I heard she was last managing a Kinko's somewhere in california I think but this was a while back so I assume she has moved on. I wish there was a consistent "where are they now" feature that was up to date. Who knows, maybe some of the retired actresses would get a kick to know there is a rabid fan base for vintage material and that they still have fans.
