Actually, your comments hadn't appeared on this thread when I made my remarks about Trump. I was simply responding to the afternoon BBC TV news, which I'd just looked at while having a coffee break.

As for him coming here, I have no particular thought on it one way or another, apart from the visit costing a small fortune in security.

I wouldn't be so sure it won't happen. After all, the russkies apparently caused the brexit refrerendum, controlled all apsects of it and caused so many to vote for it, now they'll try to keep us off-balance with a 2nd referendum and at each other's throats too much to be able to watch what they're doing.

For sure they are shitholes in several ways.
But did we really help them not beeing shitholes?
Did his country help them to improve their social and environmental garbages management structures?

I do remember a sentence of an analyst at the beginning of Irak war: "In the past when USA left a country after a war, they only let mess, coca-cola and prostitutes."

Even in our countries we are not that better as these shitholes.
Look at huge amount of garbages that Occidental countries export in less developed countries because we are not able to manage the billions of tons of garbages that we produce each year.

Our governments hide garbage and chemical products because of financial interests.
There are other ecological bombs that will explode in the face of the next generations... environmental pollution and garbage.
What we see in shitholes countries is what is hidden in or exported out our "developed" countries.

Here in my area, recently they discover that during decades the government let two big industries to highly pollute the soils and the rivers (mercury, fluorine and toxic hydrocarbon mixtures).
Now the guys of the administrations who were responsible of this laxism are dead or retired.

I understand the full story is that President Trump allegedly queried with a group of senators why the US had to allow in immigrants from “shithole countries” in Africa and the Caribbean rather than from places like Norway.

Allegations published by the Mail Online that Stan Lee, the Marvel comics writer, sexually harassed nurses caring for him at his Hollywood home have been “categorically denied” by Lee’s lawyer.

According to Mail Online, a “source with knowledge of the situation” said Lee had sexually harassed nurses, speaking to them inappropriately and groping some of them. The nursing company, which the Mail Online did not name, was quoted as saying that its owner had “received several complaints from nurses who had worked at Lee’s house and that she had complained directly to Lee”.

Buzzfeed News said it had spoken to a nursing firm that had provided care for Lee, but which denied making any legal claim or compensation request from him.

The company in question is no longer employed by Lee, who is the co-creator of characters including Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, Hulk, Thor and the X-Men. According to the Mail Online, the nursing company that is now caring for Lee said that he had been “polite, kind and respectful” since it began working for him.

People have been telling him that for a while now. The problem is that his ego demands the praise, regardless of source, and he hates the "Establishment" people telling him its a problem and thinks that pissing them off is fulfilling his promise to "shake things up" in DC. And its not like the people who voted for him weren't aware of his racism since he was one of the major players behind the attacks on former President Obama in the "birther movement" questioning his citizenship.
