How times change eh?! I suppose these days there would be an area set aside or something. But to deliberately destroy a unique species within living memory is so sad and shocking to our modern sensibilities.

It wasn't that long ago the belief was that Tasmanian aboriginals had been wiped out. Hunted down and pushed off cliffs. I was taught 'Truganini ' was the last. Now there are descendants lining up for grants.
