Windows Live Mail 2012 discontinued on January 10..(?)
Apparantly mail adresses with:
@outlook.com, @live.com, @hotmail.com and @msn.com cannot receive nor can send email from January 10th, 2017. I have only limited knowledge in these matters: it seems outlook.com is an alternative but has to activated. also mozilla thunderbird and Gmail ( google mail?)are alternatives. Yet i do not know more/ full details. Hopefully members with more technical skills can help in this? Thanks in advance! Regards, hfh.

You totally mix up mail clients (software) with webmail services. From what I've found with a quick internet search, you can keep your e-mail address if it's one of those you mentioned, but you just have to use another mail software.

I have @hotmail.com accounts
All remain active and working. Changes were made over the past 3 years. I've not received any notification about changes on email since. But I know that my @hotmail.com addresses now exist on outlook.live.com |
