Late '70s / Early '80s: Star Wars movies with many awesome effects such as hyperspace, lightsabers, and fights out in space between capital ships, fighters, and/or Death Stars.
Early '90s: Terminator II with the truck chasing a boy on his bicycle; truck driven by the bad guy from the future who could shapechange! Late '90s: Escape From L.A. with Kurt Russell going underwater in a submarine, then deploying on the beach. [Kurt Russell was never a Marine, as far as I know.] In this movie, near the end, Kurt Russell resets the world 500 years back in electronics and communication with a single device. "Welcome to the human race." |

Tiger Duel, Fury 2015
Of course,In real life the Tiger would have stayed in cover and picked off the Shermans one by one. Fury would have been first..

Ah, Terminator 2.. My favourite movie ever! One of my favourite scenes from this movie is the Galleria-scene when the two terminators meet for the first time. Unless you got the movie "spoiled" from the trailers, you would not know which one of these are sent to protect John Connor. The viewer has no idea until "get down", and then we finally know which one is which. It's such a shame that this was revealed in the trailers, because I think it would have been awesome to let the viewer experience this at the cinema. The sniper slowly dying scene in "Full Metal Jacket." Kubrick's incredible attention to detail, the lighting, the interaction of the soldiers, the sniper praying, and then begging them to shoot her. I get goosebumps, just thinking of it.

Conan the Barbarian (Arnold Schwarzenegger) explaining what is best in life.... "To crush your enemies. See them driven before you. And to hear the lamentations of their women." ------------------------------------------ Nameless (Jet Li) being executed by a fusillade of arrows in "Hero" (2002). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeTBqolcrO8 ------------------------------------------ Captain America uttering "Avengers Assemble" in Avengers: Endgame OK it's probably corny to some folks, but to me I'm transported back to my childhood reading my collection of dog-eared Avengers comics...
