Great that you discovered and this thread. I guess one of the reason of the success of Penthouse were the lesbian pictorials. Thanks a lot for the hint! It is one of my favourite pictorials and it is great to have an even better quality now. Like you I hate his hair style and prefer men with short, very short or even balding guys to men with long hair. But apart from his hair David is hot.

Of course there are many attractive that would have looked great in a Penthouse pictorial, but here is a guy of whom I think it is really a pity.

Bill Mcanally was Playgirl's man of the month in June 1980. To tell the truth I was never a big Playgirl fan. Although they had some good looking male models the magazine was too girls. The men in Penthouse looked more masculine.

But Bill, oh my God, what a hot guy! Although he has a handsome face, wonderful blue eyes and a big hard cock. The best thing about him is his chest. So hairy and sooo broad! Here is another model, who according to me would have been perfect in a Penthouse pictorial but unfortunately never was. Rick Koch was - or is - a hot hairy model, that appeared in a number of gay magazines. However in a quite personal he made it clear that he is really 100 % straight and never had sex with another man. He never did any gay-for-pay stuff either. That is OK for me, but didn't he do any straight pictorial?


As much as I though that Bill McCanally was perfect for a threesome with two girls, for me Rick would be perfect for a Penthouse couples pictorial with one big titted blond girl. I wonder why this have never happened. I can think of a couple of explanations.


1) Penthouse didn't want models who had appeared in gay magazines (in contrast to Hustler.

3) Rick didn't want to be number two in a straight couple pictoral, but wanted all the limelight for himself.
4) He was a exclusive model for Colt studios and they forbid him to appear in other magazines

Here are some pictures that might have spoiled his reputation toi be considered as a Penthouse model. Whereas for Penthouse female models can't behave lesbian enough, male models are supposed to be as straight as a line.

Of course Penthouse should very nice male asses, the first picture would be fitting for a Penhouse pictorials. But on the second and third he doesn't show just his butt but spreads to show his asshole. It is so gay. Moreover his butt is hairy.


Anyhow his bodyhair is his greatest asset and loves to show. If you love hairy guys, it is a dream come true, but if you prefer smooth men - like Penthouse? - it would not fit.

Talking about Penthouse's criteria for male models, I just found a reissue of the 1982 pictorial "A room of their own". In the version I knew I didn't know how good looking the guy was. But although his arms are hairy, his chest is smooth. Did Penthouse wanted the male models to be like this and not hairy like Bill McAnnaly let alone Rick Koch?


But I have to admit that this guy is gorgeous! Look at those eyes. Love it that his skin is much darker than the girl's. And I love it that he wears underwear. Michi, I think you’re right in your theories. Penthouse male models were all super straight and mostly smooth with a few exceptions. I tend to prefer them young, lean, muscular and smooth.

Thanks for the hint! I didn't know that. I suppose he is Tony di Lella, who man of the month in October 1978. I can't say that he is one of my favourites.Look at that hair!
