Call me a bit behind the times but I would love someone to bring me up to date on the Fiona Cooper FC video situation. I know Sutcliffe is currently behind bars what I would like to know is this why all the FC stuff on here and other sites seems to have mostly disappeared. Is this true or is it just me? There used to be a FC index on here that has gone. Love someone to fill me in on what is available and not thanks.

All I can tell you is that it's the usual stuff: DMCA's, copyright takedowns, etc. So basically it's the usual schtick of what has happened to the FC vids.

Oh and uh, that dude you mentioned. Turns out he paid his dues and he already finished his sentence. What I thought was him serving life in prison... yeah turns out it was only a four-year sentence.

I know, I was surprised it was only that long.

There is still FC material all over the internet. Is this forum just being ultra-careful or something? It's a crying shame that such a huge repository was just deleted.....

You used to be able to buy DVDs though a company in Hornchurch, Essex called Top Shelf (I think) via Amazon. I don't know if they'd bought the rights from the American company that seemed to have bought the archive.

Fiona Cooper DVD's used to be purchased directly from THEM by mail from their Yorkshire address. But they only used standard post and not a signature service. I raised this issue with them to no avail. My first batch of four, including Donna Ambrose, arrived safely. However, a subsequent order of seven failed to turn up. The usual nicking. And what do we do? We go on the internet, where there's plenty. The most complete collection is at Ventura DVD, but this site has been down for ages.

I have just short of 300 Fiona Cooper video's, all ordered from FC in Halifax and all arrived via standard post. Not one went missing en route.

In fact no video's that I got via post came by anything other than standard mail and none went missing - and I have video's purchased from FC, Hi Grade, Nookeys, Photoprints, Private, Score, Vidshop, Your Choice and others.

I've just checked and Ventura DVD is back but seems to be under reconstruction. Maybe the domain has had a change of ownership. Another good one for FC's is Hot Movies. I also use AEBN, which is not so good. Of course, these sites are full payment for official material. Fans who insist on freebies may not be interested in this. They must truly be mourning the loss of Fiona Cooper from VEF.

Before popping off, just to say that the Fiona Cooper section at Hot Movies is just over 33 pages at 12 per page. I have never had a download fail at this pay site, though some have criticised the time it can take. I have an account here and I found a really good Andrea Spinks movie. The downside is that it is a smallish sample of the massive FC collection and also that the emphasis is on their later period.

Good for you mate, that you've had 1oo% success with the mail. I'm not going to argue with other knowledgeable people. Mail versus shops versus internet is a thread in itself, one which would be full of complaints re the mail. Anyway, there's a Thanks for more tips re companies.
