Whilst not a movie, Ash Vs Evil Dead is a contender in my book.
So much so that, while I get that's it's a joke, and I really like Bruce Campbell's parodying of the lantern-jawed hero, the degree of mayhem and the graphic realism with which it's presented is starting to put me off. |

Robert Wise's "The Haunting" (1963)
Scared the hell out of me as a kid; and still does today! No gore, no blood, no violence, no visual horror at all really. But it's the physiological mind games it plays on you that really chilled me to the bone - especially the "holding hand" scene! Still remains one of the most unsettling films I have seen. |

Is one of the spookiest films I've ever watched. Which is freaky too given most of the scenes happen in broad daylight and I just saw it this afternoon Yet again goes to show that if you can get a competent cast, good script and a director with vision. Then super low budget or not a fine piece of cinema can be produced. Just a shame it didn't strike big. There`s talk of a possible sequel. Frontal lobes crossed that comes to pass

Which are the most violent , spooky or freaky films you've ever watched ?!?
Mmmmm what a juicy freaky violent blood bath Hey I've always had a soft spot for mutant cannibal movies ok So was mighty impressed when I checked out this fantastic meticulous atttention to detail actually realistic re-boot of a beloved original , back in the day Fact can't actually find a single major flaw in it . It`s ludicrous so called sequel however Uh huh Alexandre Aja as director yes Martin Weisz
