I went to Berlin on the train from Helmstadt. Looking out of the windows the difference between FDR and DDR was very easy to see. Waiting to cross the wall into Charlottenberg Station was almost obscene. Russian soldiers with SMG's and big nasty dogs searching under the train in case anyone was trying to flee.

I also do not believe any western country has ever used heavy armour against civilian populations, Prague Spring in 68, and of course Tianamen Square, just a couple of examples of how great and free communism is! But they are both of course western propaganda and did not happen.

Oh I am brave, but my face was almost frozen this morning but with better gloves and one of those Thinsulate hats I was a lot warmer. The snow is not compact enough so it is more like walking through tonnes of icing sugar than snow and useless for snowmen and snowballs today. So cold the local flasher was describing himself to women

Well, that's misleading, because on the occasions you talk about, they didn't use their main armament. Heavy vehicles are good for clearing barricades, you know that from your own experience

On the other hand, western powers have no difficulty dropping 1,000 kg bombs on civilian targets, even today

Not counting Poland as that was occupied in WW2 but post-war we have

1968 Czechoslovakia
2014 Ukraine

Then with regards to

I suppose technically the Russians probably did invade from the West so we can give you those two.
