Firefox vs. Chrome
Here's the Ad Block extension for Chrome:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...earch&hcp=main I find that I am using both browsers at the same time these days. I rely too much on addons like Image Grabber to switch to Chrome exclusively. |

I using FF7. Mozilla downloaded it automatically when I first logged on today. The problem is that it's not compatible with Java and DivX and these features have been disabled by Firefox. How do I restore them?

1) Enable that problem feature and restart Firefox; and if that does not work, 2) Uninstall that feature, then re-install it, and reboot FF. It seems a few specific features get lost by FF when it upgrades. Does this help, Oswald? e.d. |

It happens just browsing a web page. For example: http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/t68...rra-white.html Firefox didn't load any thumbnail, just load the text, and in the status bar appears "thumbnails35.imagebam...". When it happens, firefox stops working (even with google.com). |

2) Do you have any advertisement or cookie blockers working in FF? They might prevent all images. 3) Is your anti-virus or firewall software preventing images? 4) Also, check your user control panel here at VEF to make sure that show images is chosen in the Thread Display Options. (Near the top-right of VEF, click "Quick Links", click "Edit Options", scroll down to the "Thread Display Options" area, and "Show Images" is the third item in the "Visible Post Elements" box. Remember to click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of that page if you change anything!) Do you have other ideas? e.d. |

Auto updating
I am not impressed with Firefox's new automatic updating feature.
Suddenly I have Firefox version 7.0.1 installed and I have to wait two days for Imagehost Grabber to be updated. I used DownThemAll instead, which I find to be a more awkward and inconsistent "add-on". Are there similar extensions that I don't know of, both for Firefox and Chrome? Also, when I am posting on VEF I am starting to find that posts can be left hanging and not completed in Firefox more often than in Chrome. This is just my recent experience. I have been running both browsers simultaneously for many weeks now, just to compare their functionality. Firefox and Photoshop seem to interfere with each other in a way that Chrome And Photoshop don't. An image rendering conflict? |

You can also check the box for Firefox to ask you what to do with updates. |
