Just found this thread (popped up in search results, not really sure what I was looking for now) and thought it needed resurrecting.

Many years ago when VHS recorders were new (and expensive) I was the first in my peer group to have one, and as a result, in the office I was "allowed" into the porn drawer, only because I could loan out my recorder. I could also copy the tapes for others when they got their own player. In fact I was given the title keeper of the muck, and the keys to the drawer.

What was interesting was the number of female staff members who loaned tapes. Nearly all said it was for their husband/partner, and all reported watching the tape with said other half. Very few admitted the loan resulted in increased sexual activity (some did) although most went slightly red when asked. One girl said "it was like watching surgery" which is a thought that has stayed with me since then, and it pops into mind now and then when I watch. Most of the girls who asked for porn, often asked for the same film over and over again. I wonder if they were comfortable watching a particular film.

What we had was largely SE Loops, Deep Throat (the most requested but NEVER re requested ...interesting?) and a few other features. The collection grew by copying films obtained by "members" who went abroad on holiday or business. Again girls contributed to the collection, but usually claimed their partner was the one who bought the film. I imagine this is correct. So to a question for our female members.
