I've never avidly follow the intricate details of American politics but, without a shadow of doubt, George Bush Junior was by far the worst President in American history.

I whole heartedly agree. But Nixon has to take the prize as he was dumb enough to get caught with his hand in the cookie jar. A cardinal sin for a political leader.

The best line I ever read about GWB was that he should be pelted with dung and hounded into exile. I agree completely.

But, as bad as he was, this expletives deleted in there now is even worse. He is reinventing what bad means.

Neither, Carter and his foreign policies sunk America so badly that the country stopped mattering. They haven't recovered since.

Not exactly true. He did almost plunge the world into nuclear war for the sake of his ego, put America into Vietnam and ignored the lynchings in the deep south.

I'm curious why you spend your time fretting about the leader of a country you don't even live in? Our laws, our taxes, our health care system.....
Do things concern you? Well, yes, but ultimately it's YOUR leaders who bargain with our leaders. No US president has ever forced Canadian law- so if there's a problem, why wouldn't you be here ragging on your own government?

IMO the worst President and for that matter worst Prime minister the world has is Rupert Murdoch. Nobody gets elected without his say so.

I will indeed respond here for the last time since I have just posted my views. "Fretting" is not at all the correct word in this case. I created this thread for a variety of reasons but Canada was posting surpluses prior to the arrival of President Bush. Everyone on VEF is entitled to their views which should be respected even though members may disagree. I noticed your previous post on this thread was blank so why bother posting at all? Now, back to my question- why not blame Canadian leaders for Canadian hardships? I pay too much tax, but it would never occur to me to blame the leader of a different country.

That dotted line post was a fail, but I don't know how to delete an entire post.I was trying to post a GIF, but it only showed up as a picture, and the point was lost.I think a mod deleted it, and rightly so.

This is a really shitty thread and goes against the brotherhood of this site. I don't see any Americans here trashing other countries or their leaders. If they are doing it on this site, they should find a political blog. This site should stick to T & A.
