Vintage amateurs - Polaroids and retro photos

Rangertom or anyone---and I guess I mean everyone since I see Rangertom hasn't posted in nearly a year: Can you tell me how many different shots there were in the "car" series....and the story behind it? Been looking for this since I first saw it 10 or more years ago.

So far, I have 39 different shots...five in color, the rest in B&W. The shot numbers go up to 50 (for the outdoor shot of the girl in the black bikini), so I'm guessing there are more. And let's face it---if you can get (mostly) cute girls to get in your car, get naked and let you take pictures, why would you stop?

From looking at it and having lived in the time and place, it looks to me like these are from between 1974 and 1976 and shot in Southern California. Almost certainly summertime, given the way they're dressed. Every one of 'em are girls I could have known...the ones you saw every day.

Looks like it isn't true that you'll never get naked girls driving a Pinto wagon!

I still would love to know the origin story of these. Who was this guy? Where was this (clearly, a working-class neighborhood in Southern California, but where)? It looks like the photos moved indoors with the one girl...who apparently has her stuff in that chest of drawers.

Obviously, the photos had to sit around for 15 or 20 years before getting uploaded to the internet. And they're not Polaroids. Three of the girls are in color. Were these all shot on color film and only some printed that way (cost?)?

And more importantly---are there others? At least three of the girls have only one shot. I don't think he would have stopped there.

And of course, the real question...did the two girls with the bigger boobs in the backseat go home and get down with each other? The darker-haired one looks like she's getting worked up.

Inquiring minds want to know!!! :-)

Having grown up in Southern California in that era, it's very true. Hitchhiking was how you got anywhere if you didn't have a car. And bad things happening were rare back then. Thank you again.
