I'll leave my computer on overnight to try to complete a download and probably a third of those are unsuccessful due to a "failed connection".

RG can't die fast enough for me. I won't even be upset about losing the money on my one year subscription, I'd just like to be able to download files over 200MB in less than 6 hours.

Any comment is only as good as where that person resides because filehost performance
is very regional

It wasnt by mistake that one of our sister forums started making anyone using RG or UL
provide a 2nd filehost option because both were being over run with content

Free users upgrading werent keeping pace with the level of content being posted
so you had rolling slow downs / outages

upstore is another waste of time, premium and otherwise....

I usually pay monthly for an account, as of this morning it keeps rejecting my pre-paid mastercard that I have used for over a year without issues and I know there is enough currency on it.

Found out why. When you renew now they want to enable auto-renew which if you use a pre paid Visa card as I do for these kind of things, you can't have auto renew on them as you may not add funds which is the whole point of the card.

Hmm, I need a new fast download solution, any suggestions please?

I usually pay monthly for any filehosts account. RG was It was a disappointment, it worked for only a few days per week. But the same applies to other "new" filehosts ex. Keep2share....

Don't get me wrong, you can turn off auto renew in the options once you have paid however like I say, if you use a pre-paid credit card for this kind of service then you'll come unstuck.

If you are happy to use a normal debit or credit card (and the risks associated that the information might fall into the wrong hands (note might)) then you'll be fine.

I'll second that last statement. The "upstore" host is lethal for non-subscribers. 4-1/2 hours (you're bound to get an outage at that rate) for a 200 MB file, and arbitrary messages that "you've grabbed too much from us lately, so you must wait."

Much of the nostalgic stuff here is being converted to 5-part "upstore" downloads that would take me a week to get. If this persists, I'm outta here.
