James Bond 50th Anniversary Reunion Special

so sad to hear that all the bonds, have in essence, signed up to do a special about the fifty years of this brilliant franchise... with one notable exception..... connery...!!!

when is this man going to acknowledge, that without having been cast as bond, he wouldn't have been half the star he is today... or be a knight..!!! he seems to just not give a damn for anything except himself these days..... !!??

even lazenby, and dalton, who would have good reason to say "thanks, but no thanks" have signed up....!!!

am i the only person to feel that connery needs a good slap round the head to wisen up to who he is, and why he is that famous.....????

I believe Connery will capitulate, maybe for a large sum but to not have have there would be ludicrous and disappoint his many fans-short of ill health, I am sure he will be there for the anniversary next year.

I think it will happen, I mean you can't have a reunion of 50yrs without the first Bond and as he is still alive snubbing it would not be a good option-I think someone will come up with a monetary solution, either that or fans will put pressure on him to do so-I can see a Facebook campaign mounting

Are they? Well techincally there are two good reasons why we shouldn't bother-one he was American, and two, he was called Jimmy Bond and no one remembers it outside of aficianados like us

The 50th is from 1962-2012 and if I remember rightly that was well before-you could also argue that Bob Holness should be invited-after all he was the FIRST actual Bond, on South African radio admitedly but he is the first, technically. Confusing isn't it

James Bond has been a mixed blessing for Connery. He doesn't mind it, but doesn't exactly relish in it either.

It wasn't playing Bond that bothered Connery, but rather the time it took to make the movies.

fair opinion, batman...lol.... but dont think this reunion thing will cut into his time too much... cant play golf all day, every day, surely....??? lol
