Should have posted this earlier but songwriter Wayne Bickerton died 28 November 2015.
Wayne along with songwriting partner Tony Waddington was responsible for most of the Rubettes hits from 1974-77 including Sugar Baby Love ,I can Do It, Tonight and Juke Box Jive. they also wrote Sugar Candy Kisses for Mac and Katie Kissoon. Some may think their music was a bit cheesy, but I thought it was brill

In the far off days of the Cricket on the BBC of a morning he and Tony Lewis were teo of the main commentators but the one thing that drove me mad about Bannister's commentary was the constant use of "and err" I mean the man was a professional but he sounded more like a buffoon when he spoke sometimes. It is odd though I was only thinking about what happened to him last week. Sad news but just think what heavenly cricket games he will see being played and he will join that other great, the Aussie commentator, Richie ("Morning Everyone!") Benaud
