Should have posted this earlier but songwriter Wayne Bickerton died 28 November 2015.
Wayne along with songwriting partner Tony Waddington was responsible for most of the Rubettes hits from 1974-77 including Sugar Baby Love ,I can Do It, Tonight and Juke Box Jive. they also wrote Sugar Candy Kisses for Mac and Katie Kissoon. Some may think their music was a bit cheesy, but I thought it was brill

In the far off days of the Cricket on the BBC of a morning he and Tony Lewis were teo of the main commentators but the one thing that drove me mad about Bannister's commentary was the constant use of "and err" I mean the man was a professional but he sounded more like a buffoon when he spoke sometimes. It is odd though I was only thinking about what happened to him last week. Sad news but just think what heavenly cricket games he will see being played and he will join that other great, the Aussie commentator, Richie ("Morning Everyone!") Benaud

It's been a terrible few weeks for losing those who gave us so much during their lives. After having already paid my respects to David Bowie here I pay my respects to...

Jack Bannister (1930 - 2016)

The voice of cricket when I was a kid.

Pavel Srnicek (1968 - 2015)

Ex Newcastle United goalkeeper

Ian Fraser "Lemmy" Kilmister (1945 - 2015)

Legendary frontman of Motorhead

Maria Teresa de Filippis (1926 - 2016)

She was the first woman to race in Formula One at the 1958 Belgian Grand Prix.

Dan Haggerty (1942 - 2016)

Star of "The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams", an childhood hero of mine.

Robert Banks Stewart (1931 - 2016)

Creator of "Bergerac" and writer of the Doctor Who classics "Terror of the Zygons" and "The Seeds of Doom"

Glenn Frey (1948 - 2016)

Founding legend of "The Eagles"

Alan Rickman (1946 - 2016)

Fantastic acting legend who starred in "Die Hard" and "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves."

Paul Walden (1964 - 2015)

Farewell to this acid house hero better known as Guru Josh.
