Former American Pro Football Player Junior Seau has passed away of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was 43 years old. Seau was one of the best linebackers of his generation. A ten time All-Pro and 12 time Pro-Bowl player primarily with the Chargers but also with the Patriots and Dolphins. Seau was named to the All 1990'S Team. Selected out of USC by the Chargers as the 5th pick in 1990 draft, Seau was one of the starting LB's as a rookie and held down that job with the Chargers for 13 seasons. One of the greatest LB's to ever play the game and a sure bet for the National Football League Hall of Fame. A real tragic end for a guy that always showed tremendous leadership, courage and desire. A real sad loss for NFL football fans.

RIP Junior Seau.

I find it interesting that he donated his brain to science in order to study head injuries caused by football, then killed himself by shooting himself in the chest.

To be so completely lost as to kill yourself, and yet maintain the presence of mind to try helping people in the end. It's very sad. Normally I don't think much of suicide victims, but there was clearly a lot going on with junior.

A great character actor named George Murdock passed away on April 30th at the age of 81. He appeared on classics like "I Spy", "Twilight Zone", "The Untouchables", "X-Files", "Seinfeld", "Rockford Files" and many others. He is perhaps best known for his role as Lt. Scanlon on "Barney Miller". He will be missed.
