John Edwards was a Senator from North Carolina, when John Kerry chose him to be his running mate in the 2004 US presidential race. They narrowly lost, but Edwards' star was on the rise. Early in the 2008 race, Edwards looked like a cinch to be the Democratic nominee for the upcoming election. He probably would have been elected, after eight years of a Republican administration. However, as so often happens, he let his sexual urges get in the way of his rational thinking. It was revealed that (while married), he'd had a recent affair with Rielle Hunter, a reporter. She got pregnant by him and had his "love child." He had looks and charisma, and he could have been president, but his political career was destroyed by his infidelity. He is currently under indictment for campaign fraud, and faces a possible thirty years in prison.

O.J. Simpson was a Heisman Trophy winner, the first player in NFL history to rush for over 2,000 yards in a season and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985.

In 1995, Simpson was found not guilty of the murders of his estranged wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman, despite a great deal of evidence of his guilt. The trial was notorious for the circus-like atmosphere allowed by Judge Lance Ito. The trial gave us the quote from Attorney Johnny Cochrane, "If it does not fit, you must acquit."

In 2007, Simpson was charged with several felonies including armed robbery and kidnapping in Las Vegas. In 2008 he was convicted and sentenced to 33 years in prison with a minimum of 9 years without parole.

I can't believe that no one mentioned the Juice before. Now, as a Buffalo Bills fan I have to say that O.J. was one of the two greatest running backs I ever saw in person, the other being Barry Sanders. Despite his legal troubles, Simpson was named the 40th Greatest Player in NFL history last year.

From an Australian perspective i dont think it gets any bigger than

Greg Chappell cricket...great cricketer....a grand son of the great victor richardson
has gone down in history as being possibly the most unsporting captain that ever lived

For a game that meant nothing other than money won or lost

"he was money grubbing son of a bitch for the under arm incident against the kiwis".

To put this into perspective the kiwis and the Aussies love to beat each other
but only if its in the spirit of the game.

OJ Simpson to be freed from Nevada prison

Former US football star and actor OJ Simpson has been granted parole after nine years in a Nevada prison.

"Thank you!" said the 70-year-old, bowing his head as the board approved him for release.

Simpson, who was acquitted for a double murder in 1995, has been serving time for armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and 10 other charges.

He is set to walk free in October after being convicted of a 2007 confrontation at a Las Vegas hotel.

The former Hall of Fame running back was found guilty in 2008 - exactly 13 years to the day after he was famously acquitted for the killings of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.

First and foremost, Mr. Will Smith! The audacity at what he did to Chris Rock at this year's Academy Awards is outright disgraceful and dangerous! Being much taller and stronger than Chris, he could've knocked him out ON LIVE TELEVISION FOR THE WHOLE WORLD TO SEE!!! Who the f@#k does that???
