In an earlier post I included a police report about birds chirping too loud. The police in this city have a file on every residence. They know who lives there, who works there and what vehicles they drive. The attentive nature of their responses was reflected in their response to loud bird songs. Charles Schwab - listed in the notable section of the wiki - owns a property about a block long with a high fence around it. You cannot even see his house from the street. I visited the home of a man who was worth tens of millions at the time, and he went on to be worth hundreds of millions later on. It was a nice house in the good part of town, but the house was not gaudy or in-your-face extravagant. He and his family lived there and it was their home. Good man, good family.
